I don't see how strangling a person to death can be considered involuntary manslaughter. Its at the very least man slaughter, but I would argue that its plain cold blooded murder. J-police are idiots!!!

Blame the Civil Code legal system that prevails here and the rest of the non-English speaking world. Death with intent to cause GBH or battery in America qualifies for murder in the Anglo-American tradition. That or the translation is off, translating legal terms to another language is difficult you know.

Yeah...last time they were there, they stayed offshore and only sent in planes... and those did not land or linger too long.

With that said, I find Japan's lack of commitment to maintaining a fleet air arm disturbing.

You're ignoring the reality of the entertainment business. Truly "talented and skilled" voaice actors are going to have their management demand "talented and skilled" fees for their services. Ask yourself WHY these skilled actors are available and not already working on a project? The reason is because it's cheaper to hire inexperienced actors to get the shows out.

Are you kidding? anime seiyus are paid peanuts.

Yes, Japan needs useless "un-tarentos" to dub foreign language blockbuster movies despite the fact that the very talented and skilled cream of the anime voice acting industry are available.

The exhibition was already held in Tokyo where radiation levels were higher than Takasaki City. Art museums usually have filtered air systems.

OK I was wrong, and now we have a mystery, why Gunma?

The State Hermitage Museum canceled an exhibition of Russian and European glass scheduled to run for three months from December in Takasaki,

Well, if Gunma was the best venue they could book for a solid 3 months, it wasn't worth the effort to begin with. I'm actually starting to suspect that is their real reason why they quit.

To illustrate my point to my JT browsers who have never been to Japan. It's like being forced to setup an exhibit in Philadelphia when you originally intended to do so in New York.

It's time to think the unthinkable: make the N'EX make scheduled stops at Shin-Koiwa. It's not going to inconvenience anyone, after all it seems that most of the existing passengers are foreign tourists and invisible men who have already accepted the fact it takes forever to get to and from Narita. You don't like adding 5 minutes to your journey sir? how would you like to be stuck in Nippori?

Why do we expect good plants to grow out of the poor soil? The plant I am referring to are Japan's elected political leadership and the soil is of course, the electorate. At the end of the day, Japan is getting the government it deserves.

But that's done intentionally and in a controlled manner. There's nothing unsafe about it.

You guys might think this is just another developing world issue that the OECD has overcome, think again. I've seen some daunting railway practices in Japan during rush hour like at this major station in Nagoya, where successive trains arrive and leave at this particular platform with only 10 to 15 seconds apart.

Hey, Ghibli soundtracks and Camera chain jingles are national icons, you take that back!

and yeah, Japan doesn't know the meaning of 'market saturation'. Just like that annoying AKB song Flying Get which stalks both the young and old day and night.
