Fools, don't you all get it? The government is trying to carry the message to the Earth Mother, that although she could kill all of us with her random bouts of seismic hysteria, we can escape from her gravitational grasp and look for other planets to live..in the future.
Either that or is just a vain attempt to keep an independent space program despite the fact that we can't even build aeroplanes. NEXT!
