  The Koran, much like the Bible, is full of internal inconsitancies and, in practice, open interpretation and cherry-picking. And many of the more unplesant practices often assosciated with Islamic law often turn out to be tribal practices that have no basis in the Koran.

  The movie is good, with great interviews with Erik Idle, Eric Clapton, etc. It tends to gloss over his dark side, though. It's a Scorsese biopic, but I guess it's not easy to do warts-and-all given all the post-post-ex-retro-Beatlemania.

  What I find disheartening is that some of these women seem to be serial filers of harrassment suits and thus less credible but that the weight of evidence shows that Cain has harrassed women, seen them paid off and lied about it. No heroes here.

  Interesting that the Bhutanese king and queen were recently here to incredible fanfare -- and that the Bhutanese king's father is retired and alive. I wonder if there's some coordination going on to move this forward.

  Arakawa-ku is the second lowest in terms of crime . Bunkyou-ku is the lowest.

  Is this for violent crime?

  I'm not as worried about people shoplifting rice balls from the konbini.

  Yugoslavia had a common currency, the Dinar. That did not not prevent the break-up of Yugoslavia. Once Yugoslavia was split, the Serbs, Croatians, Slovenians etc. hurried up to confirm their independence by introducing their own currencies.

  G&R, great band but not in the running. Ditto for Doors, Dead, Crue Nirvana, CCR.

  Van Halen maybe. They certainly have the virtuousity for it, but maybe short of hits.

  Aeorsmith has a fighting chance, given their long body of work and iconic writing, singing and guitar work.
