@moomoochoo Of course, they're not doing it to be nice. That's the facade.
What they are really after is YOUR MONEY!!! You see, it's presumed that you intend to be a resident. You want to live in beautiful Japan. That means, like ALL residents (NOT) you must enroll in the Health Care and Pension system. They can even tax you at a a higher rate.
This goes far beyond what it says on paper.

There are ways women can avoid this.
1 Don't cheat on your husband.
That was easy.

Thank you JT for this article. I think I'll print this out and show it to the Family Court judge in my annulment case. With no marriage proposal, no ring, no wedding. I had a monster falsify papers to enter me in a false state of marriage. I did NOT give my consent.
She even admitted in court that I did not propose or give my consent but the judge still has not decided if the marriage is valid or not.
Yet right here in this article, as the #1 thing is the romantic proposal. Everybody knows this. Japan's Family Court cares nothing for the human rights of foreigners.
Long story, won't bore you with all the details.

Everybody talked about this in the office. I thought that most locations would be too crowded and decided to pass. It would have been cool to go down there with a bottle of hot sauce (Tobasco or Crystal) and put down some Barn Yard Pimp.

I heard the most ridiculous thing the other day. A rumor is flying around that your Residency card is just like an ETC card. Like something out of Blade Runner the police can cruise by and identify who you are without looking. You just come up on their computer screen..
I thought that's pretty crazy. Of course, the whole society is being tracked by your Pasmo and Suica cards. I just can't imagine that through every convenience store door, bank, or any institution that you walk through, EVEN Love hotels, your information is automatically on someone's computer display.

@billyshears A troll? Nooo, I'm quite handsome in fact. I'm quite the opposite. Well mannered, gentlemanly, considerate and respectful of others. Whenever I stepped out of line my behavior was corrected appropriately.
Every now and then here on JT we'll get into a heated debate. We find each other on opposite sides of the line. Then there are times where we all fall right in line, unanimous in our beliefs. We don't do name calling here. We avoid profanity. Some of us were little angels and through one simple lesson learned not to do any of the above. Some of us had to be popped by dad when we slipped out the F'word.
Lets take the "N" word for example. The first time I said it I got belted. I was just a kid. I said it in the car. Dad, pulled over and I got taxed. Some lessons in life are understood later when we become adults. My family wanted us to rise above that. Spanking works.
Some parents who never spank their children go through hell. This is very cultural thing we are talking about. I can only assume that for Anglo-Saxon who were once slave owners promised themselves that MY child will never be spanked or whipped. Since they see nothing wrong with themselves they see no reason to spank or physically discipline their children.
African-American families have never been spared the rod. When we lost the master we picked that whip and started lashing ourselves. This doesn't literally apply in this day and age but we do know that discipline and parenting go hand and hand. Those trips to the principal's office require time off from work and we don't get paid for those hours. Yes, a spanking is in order.
If you'd like to see someone trolling just look for Jon Heder.

@Cleo Looks like you've awarded yourself "Mother of the Year" With no definition of "Successful" we can't really argue with the self-proclaimed Mother of the Year.
Your way is the best way, in your mind, I'm sure.
In all fairness, like most women, you've got too much of your ego riding on this. The children that came out of your womb came out to be little angels that you never ever had to raise your hand to. They're just perfect little darlings that follow Mother Goose out to the pond.
Come on over to 1300 Jackson Street and meet Mrs. Bebe and her kids. Have you ever met Bebe's kids. 365 days a year they run at full steam thrashing everything in their path. You've probably never been to that side of the tracks.
On the other side of the tracks we've got knuckleheads and brats and parents who are putting everything they've got into preparing their children for the future.
Your idea of raising children comes right out of a Disney story. These kids need to "whipped" into shape. Can't understand why you have a problem with it. Go back to slavery days Anglo-Saxons, perhaps your ancestors, were "whipping" them all the time. What's that saying? Gotta be mean to keep em keen.
Now of course, these children aren't being "whipped" but their parents have to instill some manners in them. Most come from Christian backgrounds. We know discipline is necessary.
*Disclaimer I said "Christian", not Catholic. I don't agree with the way Catholic priests discipline the boys.
Seriously, Cleo, you are great poster. I think you took it personal and that was not my intention. It's a debate and I'm simply going at you for that and that alone.
You've got to allow people to spank their children. It doesn't give the honest parent pleasure to spank or discipline their children BUT some of us, including myself, are very glad our parents did just that. I'm alive and well, and living a full life thanks to parents that wouldn't allow me to act a fool.
The bond between father and son is better for it.
You need not look any further than the local train to see why spanking, especially for boys, is very important. Either you discipline your children or someone will discipline them later for you.

Yeah, they needed to stop all vehicles but if Justin Beiber was in fact pursued by the Papparazzi then they need to be arrested.
There's absolutely no reason to speed though. Beiber is a multi-million dollar superstar but what he doesn't realize is that he is part of a billion dollar industry that haunts celebs. The paps really don't have to give chase. They've Cessna's and private charters that follow you overhead.
If they want to find you they will.
The real question can never be answered though. Did Justin get a thrill out of being chased? His in the cockpit of that supercar blazing the freeway up. Was it fear or fun?
@Justin Beiber Hhahahaha. Just do a few charity concerts for the Los Angeles Police Department, go down there and meet their children, sign autographs and all this will go away.
That would be better than letting the paps pay off cops for info about you.

I don't think S. Korea has to do anything for Japan. They owe you nothing. You owe them a lot.
You are not interested in Koreans at all. You seek to use them as you would anybody else. You simply want to keep Kane and Abel at each other's throats. You love the divide. A United Korea would be a threat to you. It would give S. Korea it's military.
The only reason you seek to make your deal with S. Korea now is because there's new leadership in the North. A young man is at the helm. It is his time to build his own legacy and that legacy may be to renew ties with the South which your government secretly fears.
History has periods of darkness and then there are periods where the land is lush and the harvest is good. If North and South unite they could emerge from the darkness. That's what you fear.
Blood is thicker than water. If S. Korea should make a military pact with anybody it should be their brethren. Not a selfish invader.
Sorry Haruka but I hope Japan gets what it deserves.

Cleo - You cherry picked your argument and it's out of context. Where's the rest of the story? Where's the mom or dad that sits down and explains what he did wrong? You think they're just going for pain?
Give other cultures a little more credit. You have your way, they have their way. Quit trying to use the law to raise their children too. You are simply trying to ensure that the other family has more difficulty raising their children and better your own children's chances of success.
It's amazing how mothers try to destroy other families. You don't like their attire, their food, their culture and their way of parenting. Yet, at the same token you let your daughter walk out of the house dressed like a teenage prostitute going to a Britney Spears concert. You didn't spank your daughter. The other family spanked. Their daughter is an educated lady. Your daughter is swinging from the pole trying to make it rain.
I believe in spanking because it's discipline. Only gentlemen and ladies from my household with a strong religious background and good manners. Trust me, it works.

Spare the rod, spoil the child.
If I have to I'm taking off my belt. Get in here and drop your britches.
So you want to be disrespectful in school eh? You hit your teacher, eh? You're a man now?
Move those hands!!! I said put those hands down!!!
Son: The doctors said if you spank me I'll have mental disorders in the future.
Father: The only mental disorder you have is talking back to your mother......WHAP!!! Son: I'mma call the police. My liberal soft teacher said this is Child Abuse. Father: This is discipline. I'm doing it cause you can't do it yo'SELF. Call your liberal homeroom teacher and I'll WHAP!!! her too. The only difference is she'll love it.
Don't talk back to your mother!! If you ever disrespect your teacher again I'll come down there and WHAP!!! you in front of the other kids.
You see - the real mental disorder can be corrected with a little home remedy.

Immigration should be nicer than the police. They are there to process you, NOT to kill you. I can't imagine being deported ever being a pleasant process but still the victim is still in their care and custody. If you take custody of anything you also assume the responsibility for it's care.
This is all wrong.
Either you are Japanese or you are one of those smug expats who thinks they are above everyone else. How many people do you have to step on to get to the top?

The hour is later than you think. Our coffers were depleted by Mr. George Dubya Bush and his grandstanding opportunity known as the Iraq war. That Republican bankrupted the American Government: Mission Accomplished!
Do not begin to criticize my President. It is on his watch that he has made a definitive measure of recovery.
Healthcare is there to promote longevity and sustainability. That those with experience can live long enough to bear fruit. There is no better investment in this world than life itself. You are wrong when you say I don't think about the future. In your mind, I'm a single guy. You are wrong.
As far as NOT performing the basic tasks of government, there's no better example than a Republican. You speak of basic tasks, it was such a basic task to send the nation's guard to help the people of Hurricane Katrina, but the Republicans did NOT. It was Republicans who did NOT perform the basic task of defending American soil that lead to 9/11. They had intel and did NOT act.
No sir, we will not turn back the clock and go back to Republican rule. Republican incompetence was America's downfall. No more cocaine damaged, alcoholic Republicans. Now you wish to elect a rich Mormon that doesn't pay his fair share of taxes. Have no illusion people, they will bottom feed of the nation and America will be for sale.
America has a duty and responsibility to pay off it's debt but it can only do that with sustainable human resources. These people require BASIC essentials such as health care. They cannot dedicate their free time to Insurance company bureaucracy when they need to sit and do homework with their children, families together.
@Wolfpack We agree to disagree. Yes, you have posted quite a few times on this thread and I applaud you for that. However, this is the situation, Obamacare (for lack of a better word) is here. It has passed. Every time there is a vote, I will vote against you. I cannot sit idly by while you seek to take away from your neighbor. 2 children from different families suffering from chicken pox but one child receives better treatment because of their insurance. The other due to a clause in his insurance plan the company prevents him receiving proper medical attention.
Wolfpack You are going to have to accept this. Now if you could somehow devote some of that energy you have to some ideas that make the system now in place better then you should do so. Divert funds, cancel F35 military spending. Stop defending Japan, let them suffer the burden of maintaining a military while keeping healthcare.
We have the money. There's plenty of it. It just the Republicans put the money into the private sector where it was left unchecked.
You are going to adapt to this new Economy because it's for your own good. America's government can no longer sit by and watch the private sector muck the nation up with the permission of Republicans.
I do have some good news though. Now that you can definitely get Health Insurance, you can go to a hospital right now and have your head examined. It's not about the money. It's about life and community. Go now and have that bump on your head looked at. Might be a concussion.

Tethering is NOT restricted. It simply voids the warranty. We've already crossed that bridge. It's your phone. You can do whatever you want with it. The truth is you are only restricted by your own mind and creativity.
Of course they don't want you to get any ideas. If you buy the right equipment you can power your home yourself. They told what they want you to think and believe. They don't want you getting any ideas. They pay politicians to place local ordinances that will require special permits for such equipment.
If they create enough fear they could get the community behind them and individuals such as yourself will have spies all around you. They'll claim your solar power storage generator is dangerous. It hasn't been approved and or certified. Thus you can't use it. The game is Monopoly.
Anyway, don't limit yourself. You can do anything you want to do with your equipment and the things you purchased. You are not renting, you purchased. You can tether your iPhone to a donkey's arse if you want. It's really none of their business. You are simply moving data from one device to another.

You need to put a sock in it. Yes, Japan would be protected and assisted by the U.S IF.....read it and weep...." IF ATTACKED".
America's is NOT Japan's pitbull. America's 7th Fleet has often been dubbed "The Tip of the Sword". It's not just any sword though. It's Excalibur and it can only be wielded by the Honorable and Just. Not by *Q,Q,Q,Qing fanatical politician with anger management issues.
America's does not worry about a Russian PM traveling in his own land. If it were Japanese soil then your local authorities have to deal with it first.....oh wait.....there are no local authorities BECAUSE...it's not Japanese soil.
Nothing is going to get started anyway. As soon as a single Japanese fighter is scrambled it will be war. The list of enemies is too long. Russia, North Korea, and China. Call me maybe......maybe Flyjin.
