unfortunately the Iwami Ginzan listing has been a debacle.I went last year and lack of infrastructure means the tourism completely overwhelms the town. added to that the silver mine itself is unfortunately not that impressive.Obviously the thought proces behind WH listing needs some more work

the overhead train is great, without it it was a real PITA getting around Naha.Should be mentioned though that if your a caucasian male your not getting into most of the bars, clubs or izakayas even if your obviously not in the US military.
