The report stated multiple times that she wasnt found doing anything wrong in firing Walter Monegan.
What she was found abusive in was not stopping others from using her office in the pursuit of getting her Ex-Brother in law fired, or given jail time.
The report mentions the Firing might have had something to do with it but wasnt the only factor in the firing of Walter Monegan, and that she was in her right to fire him.
Also she started going after the brother in law before she ever was govenor, and they seemed unhappy with the investication during that time too..
She was wrong in her decision to allow people to use her position as a lever to gain a personal objective.
But every news article is trying to twist the story (CNN had the title up three different ways this morning starting with "Palin found to have Abused her power but justified in the firing")
Negativite news sells and makes people talk so thats why the spin on the report..

This just come up on the net Sarah Palin unlawfully abused her power as governor by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper, the chief investigator of an Alaska legislative panel concluded.

USAFdude no answer on the ballot question??
How did I change your answer or twist it??
On the other hand, my hat goes off to McCain for pointing out that Obama is a good, Christian, American family man. For McCain to endure boos at his own event to try and educate the (hopefully) few idiots in his audience is laudable. It's probably the smartest thing I've heard McCain say, but in this case, it goes a long way. I still won't vote for him, but I can appreciate his wisdom in this one isolated instance.
Senator McCain, I salute you.
You said word for word "its the smartest thing you have heard him say", "you can appreciate his wisdom in this one isolated instance..."
where is the twist ?
You said in all the things you have read or heard about McCain this is the smartest thing he has ever done (which of course isnt ) And you can appreciate his wisdom on this one isolated instance (so all his other wisdoms you can not appreciate)
no twist..

By the way your statement is a slam to the man not a lift... Saying in his many years he has only done on good smart thing is an insult not a compliment..
So yes I see when he does something for Obama he is good but all those other things like he did are evil... Nice
At least with those types of judgment you wont be on a jury any time soon...

only those who feel guilty would reply with look at me I posted a good thing...
Its ok I have read your post many times calling him things that he isnt to make a point....
So considering your in the airforce right now, you voted already right? I know I did because Im oversees and have to do an Absentee ballot... What did you think of the ballot and the selections we had.. How many choices did you have? Man getting things off oversees in the combat area is a pain, Last time I had to send mail during combat it took 3 months to get it... which APO unit did you have to use in Iraq? Im just wondering if we are going to have the same problem as last time with military votes not m,aking it in time, I think that would suck..

Seems McCain isnt endorsing this behavior, now do you say good things about him,?? Or do you continue to belittle the man??
Just wondering
Sice no one things things are said at Obama rallies that are just as bad, I will assume you havent been to one lately....... They are both over the top, during the RNC Obama supporters said they hope McCain gets hit by a train, Matbe the Building will catch on fire, Feed him to the sharks, Bury her in the glaciers near Russia, etc etc etc...
Its a two way street with idiots on both sides...
Both guys are not good candidates they are ok ones, neither can nor will change the current ways of the US, one is younger and more energetic, but he isnt any better then the other.
To have the energy of youth and the Knowledge of Age would be wonderful, but we have the extremes of these in these guys, ones young and brash, but his experience is almost nil, the other is Knowledgeable but to old to change...
Damned if you do or damned if you dont....

At the least if a person yells that they should be removed form the rally, for both side. I have been to a rallies for both sides, and this type of thing happens at both...
To say a man is evil is one thing, to burn him at a stake for it is another.....

Keep Goverment out of the buying companies game..
Quit giving loans based on race, single mother, or other factors besides financial ability to repay..
Quit allowing ceos and the companies they run to lie about profits in order to make the share holder happy.
Maybe regulate the financial market better.
Stop buying 80% of our products from places like China, and try to support the countries own economy.
Maybe quit letting companies move the headquarters off shore to aviod paying taxes.
Maybe get rid of all the people in congress and bring in newe people who are elected based on ideas and not who has the most moeny to put into ad campaigns..
The list is too long and the results will take too long to happen..
Other countries are freezing the markets... maybe thats the ticket///

Rep. John Coghill, a Republican who criticized the handling of the investigation, said it was "well-done professionally."
But he said some of the conclusions were judgment calls by Branchflower, and recommended readers should view them with a "jaundiced eye."

Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan's refusal to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten from the state police force was "likely a contributing factor" to Monegan's July dismissal,** but Palin had the authority as governor to fire him,** the report by former Anchorage prosecutor Stephen Branchflower states.
She went infront of them because she fired him,, and they found she had the right to fire him, but they have the headline Abuses Power kinda like seeing it from a strange angle?

Thanks for reading, Sarge. Here's a quiz of reading comprehension. 1. Did McCain pull strings to avoid getting booted? 2. Was McCain a good student? 3. Was McCain a good pilot?
I can answer that...
no one knows but I doubt he pulled strings, his family might have, but thats no different then getting into college because your a minority or getting a job for same reason. Your using your family background to get what you would not get normally. We cant base everything on speculation, did Obama learn from ayers, Obama and Ayers say no so we have to side with that, McCain says he didnt so we must side with that too. You can imply anything you want that doesnt make it true.
3.Any pilot who can fly a plane is good, if you talking about his 2 accidents while goofing off yea his judgement was wrong, but his ability isnt in question, was evil kanievel(sp) a good cycle rider, he crashed thousands of time... ..Since most of the pilots in his units said he was a great pilot and always flew on the edge I would have to go with the answer he was a good pilot that was to confident in his ability..

Once in court I heard a judge say words I can not forget...
Even though he is what he is and we all know thats what he is, we have no evidence to convict him on the charges brought up, that doesnt make him innocent that makes him lucky...
That would be ayers..
But to not add Clinton in the mix of why we are in a financial crisis would be an out right lie too, since he was the president who signed the bill that removed the restrictions, just like it would be a lie to say that Bush was the reason all this happened when we have 535 fine politicians sitting in Washington DC signing bill also.. They all have fault in why we are where we are, just like they all have responsibility to represent us.... You cant say one with out the other, its a team event...
Sezwho if you read the 637pm post I was talking about the weather underground as a whole who did the Brinks robbery..And was showing proof to a person who said that the weather underground never killed..
Nippon5 at 06:34 PM JST - 10th October
Also just for the record the Weather Underground also killed two police men in cold blood... and two of them are in Jail for it.
So like the TV ads its only a sound bite and not what really was said..
First thing friends say when a friend does something and is caught is..
" cant believe he could do it, he was the nicest man"..etc etc.. Its kinda the comman phrase here in Japan and in the States..

Also Sez I know they had nothing to do with the attacks on the Brinks car, but they created the group, they taught the group that violence was the solution, as far as the other attacks and the group building bombs designed to kill humans (antipersonel) I would say it is likely that the group in the 70 misfire had plans to kill humans.. He isnt the viorgin Mary and shouldnt be considered a great guy because he changed his ways, which we dont know if he did?? do we?_??

Nippon5,
Additionally, please check the dates on the Brinks Robbery. Ayers and Dohrn did not participate in this. You persist in blaming them for something they clearly did not do.
OBL runs AQ under ground why would these two be any different? just because they where in the underground doesnt mean they stopped being the leaders of the group. Since they are not talking and I cant find proof either way I will error on the side of logic, and say they didnt go away from the planning of attacks for the group...
I also never said Ayers was part of the killings I stated his terrorist group was.... But we cant blame leaders for the mistakes of the group, like Bush now can we....?????.....?????
Once again I dont think Palin and McCain are right to say Obama is anything based off of being even friends with the guy, Im friends with alot of people and dont believe in their beliefs... I know thats a point everyone wants to attach too my statement,. but Im not concerned with Obamas relationship with the man.
