Obamas closing was actually very good except for his best place in the country gaffe. McCain closing was good also.

    Final grade..

MCCain A- he repeated allot of the lies that they have stated over and over. But he talked to the people very well. He seemed strong on his subjects and his debating ability is very good.

Obama B he did good but he started with mudslinging right away, seemed to look into the camera more then the people, his stand was the same as it always is saying McCain is Bush and such...

Tom rocked I think I should of voted for him!!!!!!!

Its a town hall meeting and its how it should be , he is suppose to talk to the people not the camera. If it was a sit down like the last one then you are talking to a camera. He said we dont need to prioritize because we should be able to multitask. Im not for McCain but he is doing a much better job then Obama.

Obama is angry, he is talking to the camera and not the person asking the question, His story and McCains are basically the same that they have been saying the whole time, both are still lying,, but McCain is answering the actual questions and not talking about the last question. Obama is going over the time every time too. ]

Its not a political thing to win a debate its the ability to debate, and McCain seems in his element here... Obama seems kinda lost.

Sorry you dont see it that way but I havent insulted you saying what are you watching another cartoon? So grow up and take it as it is, my view not yours.

strange I find McCain answering the questions, but Obama is dancing around trying to use Bush as often as possible.

Also Obama started the personal attacks in his first 20 seconds

I heard they are going to have cream pies to throw at each other like all the other clowns in the circus....

Maybe we will get lucky and they both will break down and tell the truth..

"We really have no idea what the hell we are going to do if elected, we cant do anything about the economy, we cant change really anything we just say that to make you vote, Obama is really a terrorist and is part of a AQ cell, I(John) wasnt really a POW I was being trained to take over the US for Vietnam, Both our wives are really men and had sex changes in Thailand, and finally that wasnt a brit at the Moat it was me(John) in the buff Obama bet me 10 bucks I wouldnt do it.."

Why do games like the Simms make it so big? Why do massive multi player online games do so well? Why do people have 10 handles on one web site blog?

The answer isnt black and white.

Some people feel they can be anything they want when they are behind the keyboard.

Some use the internet to feel empowered and in real life wouldnt even squeak at all around others, but on the internet they can pump their chest and be rude to others.

Some people are looking for conversation with like minded people and only option for them because of location they live in is the internet.

Some people are without a social life and find the internet a haven for them to be a social elitist.

I dont think its a window into someones true personality, more like a window into what someone wants to be.

I dont think people are more rude on the internet, I think its harder to express your views in written word then it is in verbal ways, so some people get frustrated and then get more aggresive..

All in all the internet is just on piece of the puzzle that is changing humans from a truely social creature to a reclusive creature and is going to create more issues as the next generations become less connected to reality......

Why should I vote for the guy?

    1) With so little, he has gotten so far. Surely, he can talk his way into and out of many a situation. Middle Easterners will respond to him, many already have. McCain only offers aggressive words and aggressive policy. We need a talker.(a con man ? a player? or do we need someone with actual sound financial ideas?)

    2) Guaranteed shake up of the cabinet, high courts, etc. Can you imagine who that religious nut Palin will start appointing if she becomes President? (how can he shake up anything, he votes 94% or so for his party thats not shaking thats following)

    3) The sheer joy of showing spite to the people who brought us the Iraq disaster and streamlined our government and filled it with cronies so that we could not even respond to the Katrina disaster.(ahhh the little brother laughing at the older brother when he gets in trouble, I think I would perfer someone who actually learned from the mistakes of history and doesnt repeat them)

    4) Obama's military record is completely clean! Nobody can say a bad thing about. Except that it does not exist.(I really dont think ones service matters when electing a president, actually feel an enlisted man would be better then a spoon feed officer)

    5) I am not completely sure of the life expectancy of a half-black American president with the middle name "Hussein" and last name very similar to "Osama". Even McCain might live longer. Consider it a vote for Joe Biden. (ahh the they will kill him cause hes a black man clause, seems they try to kill white ones too)

Ill will give you some real reasons to vote for Obama..

He is young and full of energy, he might actually use some of it for some good.

He has a good idea on trying to get people together around the world, its refreshing, but it is also unrealistic

He has a very experenced VP who should most likely be the president and Obama should be the VP, but it didnt come out that way.

McCain has a very bad image becasue he is in the same party as Bush, although with this logic all white people are the same as Bush, or maybe just ones from Texas, hrmmm hard to draw a line on who is the same..

Lastly he has the friends and assosiations all ready in place for running all these companies we just bought...

    Nippon5,

I can live with allowing those countries to work it out if they keep it in their countries. However, as long as we (the US) are in Iraq, that will be kind of difficult.

Yes and before us it was Russia and before them 3 times Britian... We need to allow the country to go its course, we cant always be the captain of the ship. I hope we can get out as soon as possible, but I dont want to have us leave it without Iraq having its own internal controls.. Hopefully soon this topic of the US in Iraq will not be a topic anymore....

taniwha , That would be why I posted the articles showing the statements to verify my statments, but as they say.....

You can lead a horse to water but you cant make them drink.

Being a discussion board people will have different understandings of what they read and how they come to a conclusion on the facts, I dont agree Iraq was stable (even during the controlling times of the desert shield and the no flys and such) as it was always involved in wars and internal conflict. Sweden is stable, Canada is stable. But to you its a stabel enviroment and thats that its what you believe.

You are also correct on the part about Turkey stating they would not allow a Kurdish state in Northern Iraq, they claimed that would lead to a war. Also Sezwho2 is correct on the Kirkuk area being a stiking point on any change of borders from what they are now. Iraq doesnt wan to give up an oil rich area neither does the Kurds...

As where do we go from here, we dont its not our concern and we should allow those countries to work it out..

To Nippon5, who claims that "they all had a hand in this game":

Some Democrats may have had a hand in it, but the push to deregulate is deeply ingrained in the Republican philosophy. And when your philosophy has been proven as bankrupt, it is time to adopt other principles.

That is a true statement until you talk about the dereg, that was a Clinton thing for the banks... It pasted in 1999... But yes Extreme reps want dereg, Extreme Dems want to have the goverment do everything.. But it took a congress to pass the vote and if you check it was a majority from both sides that agreed to these votes...

We need serious change as a country, we need to do the most basic of things... Learn to live in our budget... Learn to stay out of the worlds problems... quit wasting money on pushing lies and misspoken truths to gain a position in the political world. We need a complete change of the guard, but neither of these two are the complete change.... So we vote for the better of two evils, and that isnt change thats accepting what we can get..

Im hoping before my oldest goes to the states for school that the states is on track, thats only 6 years from now, and I dont think its going to happen unless we get a good candidate in 2012...... Hopefully the congress gets washed out and we get some new shirts in there too.

Sorry cavemanlawyer I meant 2001 it was a typo.. Heres a link so you can read about it..

    http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F02E1DE1438F932A2575AC0A9679C8B63

and in 2004 interview he said **I don’t think what we did was extreme…. We didn’t cross lines that were completely unacceptable. I don’t think so. We destroyed property in a fairly restrained level, given what we were up against. **

**Much of the controversy about Ayers during the decade since the year 2000 stems from an interview he gave to The New York Times on the occasion of the memoir's publication.[19] The reporter quoted him as saying "I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough", and, when asked if he would "do it all again" as saying "I don't want to discount the possibility."[14] **

Now cave man I seem to have the proof so is it still a lie and I dont have a double standard you just dont have any standards?

    As far as Sezwho2

I dont want to belittle you (so please dont do it to me) nor do I ignore what you wrote ( I just dont see the point in arguing about your personal beliefs, right or wrong) , I agree with the majority of your statement but, I can not acquiesce with you on the point he isnt still of the same mind he was then....To do so would be to go against what he says off the cuff, I know he corrects his statements after he is called on them, but what he has said since that time in interviews and books points to a tendency to perfer a violent solution to a nonviolent one if it gets the job done

Here is a link to the Bank robbery his group committed and killed in cold blood two police officers

    www://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brinksrobbery(1981)

Sezwho2 said: In the eyes of the Weathermen, I think the police were the enemy. This doesn't excuse anything the Weathermen did and it doesn't make them any less "terrorists" for practical purposes, but it does suggest that it doesn't quite fit your reference--which by the way does not make the specific claim that Ayers was a terrorist.

Ayers did not qualify as a one who targeted non-combatants

The one thing that I believe to be absolutely false in your statement is that Ayers is a terrorist. Ayers is not a terrorist

But this is truely enough said on this subject...

Ill repost what I said before since everyone only reads the parts they can fight with....

Obama isnt a terroist hes the next worse thing-------- a Politician.....they kill millions and rob everyone blind and yet you still pay them and call them the next savior....

Funny I reread my post and in my post I was countering those who say Bill Ayers isnt a terrorist. I never said Bush was anything and I also defended Obama that Obama wasnt a terrorist, but your post reflects what I said before,,,, if Obama didnt have Bush to talk about he wouldnt even be a candidate, his whole platform is bashing Bushes just like yours...

Dont get me wrong I want to have change, I think Bush is an Idiot, I think Obama has many good points, I also see McCain has good points, But that has nothing to do with why we have to change the history of a terrorist in order to make a candidate seem cleaner... I dont think Obama is a terrorist, I think he just likes those with an extreme view, same as McCain just the other extreme.

I also question whether he represents the greater threat to America, or the path we've gone down over the past eight years? Actually, I don't question it; I think it's clear where I stand.

Strange it seems that Obama,Biden,McCain all had a part in the last 8 years too... Go figure we are going to vote in one of these groups and they all had a hand in this game.
