I think the main reason they do help the negotiations is they are the spokesman for their parties. I think the debate is just a debate and its not even an open question debate, the questions are agreed to before the debate just like all of them. So missing it isnt the end of the world for me. Although I really want to tape the UH UH UH UH UH fest that they both will do.

I would hope that all of the house and senate come together and get each others noses out of their party based butts and actually do the right thing. I dont know if that is to give money to businesses that didnt take care of their own financials, or to give them loans, or just let them fail, but I do know that what ever they decide is going to be politically motivated and not truely in the intrest of the people of the US. It seems to be a lose lose for us as Americans

Actually NWA is better in service then Delta in most areas I have flown, the problem with the flight to Japan was they had basically a Monopoly on that route and the service paid for it. As far as the other flights I took around the US they had very good service.

CARBONDALE, PA—Less than two weeks after introducing to the nation her developmentally disabled newborn and her 19-year-old son preparing for military service in Iraq, Republican vice presidential nominee and conservative Christian woman Sarah Palin delivered a speech Monday flanked by three heretofore-unknown relatives, including a naturalized Mexican half brother, a formerly lesbian niece, and a New York City firefighter cousin who saved several lives during the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. "John McCain and I will take on the Washington establishment and give the government back to the people," said Palin, who several times gave the "thumbs-up" sign to her African-American coal-miner uncle seated in the audience. "We envision a better and brighter future for hardworking, selfless Americans like Ted, Anne, and Guillermo here." Palin has a campaign stop scheduled next week in Texas, where she is expected to introduce her stepsister Linda, a $35 barrel of offshore-drilled crude oil wrapped in an American flag

Yes.... why should they have a job when they do not do it properly...... When a campaign over takes your responsibility to your job then that shows you really dont want your original job..

Like I said will your boss let you not do your work so you can go interview for a new job??

Think about it in a non political way, you pay their salary, do you want to pay a person so he can not do what he is paid to do?? If so are you hiring???

That is also the right way to use the word in this situation..

No country is a true democracy and never will be until each person has an equal say. But a begining democracy is better then a dictatorship that kills its own people..

Hopefully the country has a better idea of what freedom feels like now and wont waste it when the American forces pull out. But as you say a democracy can become anything because it is a democracy and the people get to choose what they want.

On a side note... Im really getting tired of the (mod) taken out messages that are in a line of discussion and not out of line of the topic. If you want to take one part of a discussion out you should remove the whole line of discussion as it makes you look bad when you dont remove the first 6 of 7 messages that are "off topic".. Only reason this site is a site is those of us that take our time to post to it and click on your Ads, try to be a little more even in your judgement and maybe you will keep a good base of readers.

Palin Meets First Foreign Leaders Vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin met with a series of world leaders as a sort of crash course on foreign policy. What do you think?

Johnny Moreland, Hotel Clerk "Wow, she's a lot better at meeting people than I expected."

Kevin Freamon, Tour Guide "All she needs to do is make a simple mnemonic device for remembering each country, its form of government, its gross domestic product, its military history, its relationship to the United States, and what it's best known for."

Karla Greggs, Rock Climbing Teacher "This should allay voters' concerns about electing a candidate with no experience being photographed with foreign leaders."

OXFORD, MS—Amid discussions of possibly postponing the debate altogether, Sens. Barack Obama (D-IL) and John McCain (R-AZ) were able to agree Thursday on a new guideline that would allow each candidate one 15-second strangulation during Friday night's presidential debate. "Both candidates will receive two minutes to answer each question, five minutes for discussion, and a one-time-only option to walk over to their opponent's podium and cut off his oxygen supply for up to 15 seconds," a statement from the Commission on Presidential Debates read in part, also specifying that debate moderator Jim Lehrer can exercise his own discretion in determining whether or not the strangulations go over time. "After being choked, the candidate, if still standing, may counter with one of his two allotted empty beer bottles to the head." Because many have agreed the new rule will benefit McCain, the commission has also allotted Obama an optional double-thumbed eye gouge.

On CNN tonight, an insider to the White House meeting described McCain as being totally uninvolved. When the meeting started, and President Bush asked the Democratic representatives (Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi) to present their case, Reid and Pelosi deferred to Barack Obama. It was reported that Obama presented the points smoothly and professionally.

When it was the Republicans' turn (Dems went first because they lead the Senate and House), John McCain deferred to others in his party, before disappearing into the wallpaper. It got so bad that, at one point, even Barack was trying to get him to speak up.

Strange CNN had nothing like this on its page, or its program list or anything else.. Please provide us a link to this report...

    Ill wait for your link...

People may be predisposed to violent or criminal behavior. They need care and may need preventative monitoring or isolation. He probably should not have been allowed to roam freely and probably can morally be held accountable for his actions.

Killing 100k people to keep them from protesting or killing anyone who says anything you dont like is not stable its controlled. I cant believe you actually believe that it was stable..

Yabits You post was just a hate message --- Bush might be a moron or an idiot, but he did serve as a governor of Texas for 8 years, campaigned with his father, and meet lots of Political leaders. Your statement was out of anger and not intelligent in the least.

My statement was who you have met does not make you a great leader nor is it an acurate measurment of how well they will do in office. period..

Im not on either side Im just pointing out the fact you cant judge anyone based on if they meet a world leader or not.

Which by the way is the topic of this article...
