If they had the ability to revive it they would of had the power to stop it from failing....

And we all know it wasnt stopped!

I understand your point, even though its a far out there one:).. But Ayers-Obama connection isnt one leader to another, nor is it only based on a working relationship. I personally dont consider Obama a terrorist due to his assosiation with Ayers the terrorist, but I do not like the misinformation they have used to try to distance Obama from Ayers..

Even in this article Ayers lies about it....

In fact, Ayers said he didn’t even know Obama when he hosted the event at his home in the Chicago neighborhood where the two live. Ayers added that he agreed to have the meet-the-candidate event after a state senator asked him to.

This would be opposite of what Obama and Ayers have written in the past in their books... Since Obama served with Ayers on the Boards before this party and they knew each other from then..

    See Obama-Ayers timeline...

    http://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2008/10/06/obamaayers-timeline/

So how do we believe Ayers or Obama when they make false statements so easy to disprove... Have you ever been on a board and not meet the other members in a meeting? Ive been on tons of them and first thing we always do is introduce each other..

So My point is someone is lying to try to lesson the assosiation of the two together, which is like your example where you try to increase the Bush-taliban connection.... Both are using misinformation and lies to achieve its goal....

But I agree 100% that Obama isnt a terrorist...

I wish the world couldnt tell the difference in color.. Then maybe people would look at the person for who they are and not what color they are.

Obama is a educated person with different views than around 50% of the Americans, and that is no different then Bush who is an educated man with views different then 50% of the people (at the time of his election).. It doesnt mean he is not able to run this country. And he isnt going to make this USA Ghetto, hell he hasnt even seen a real ghetto..

When some one uses race to belittle someone or to gain advantage of someone they just show how idiotic they are.. Color doesnt determine you intelligence, your beliefs, or your ability to do a job..

News companies help spread this type of view by making it the main point of view in their papers, websites, and tv news shows..

Sorry for the rant but I hate racism..

It only takes a hand full of extremist to start or continue a conflict...

The Middle east has buckets full of them, they will not allow the peasce as it would end their belief that they have to cleanse the area..

Sorry its a never ending battle..

Sezwho2 It is also inaccurate to say that he got off because of a legal glitch. He may not have been prosecuted because of the legal glitch, but one cannot assume that the prosecution would have been successful without it.

It goes the other way too, one cannot assume he would of been found not guilty.it is inaccurate to justify his actions due to the failure of the court to prosecute him.

As far as practicing "or being" in reference to being a terrorist, that is just using the word terrorist in the way you want... He still states his actions had been just and if he had to do it all again he would still bomb the buildings and other targets they bombed , so its hard to say he isnt still practicing when he is still believing his actions are just, teaching others that bombing buildings is a just and sound way to protest is still practicing...

Tka313 please show me where the members of the house of saud attacked american civilians? Do you mean people from that country attacked civilians? What is Bush's relationship to the taliban? Has he had them over for dinner? Please explain this statement..

Good Donkey he has said those words in his many books and his blog, he has said those words on national tv and in news.. He has said those words again and again..

Obama and Ayers releationship doesnt matter in respect to Obamas views, who cares if they even slept together, the point is Ayers isnt the angel that some on here try to paint, he isnt an ex terrorist, he is still pushing his violence based way of getting a point across, he is still stating he would do it all again.. The fact Obama and Ayers knows each other is not shocking, the fact they are both downplaying the fact is shocking.. Ayers is very active in the political scene in Chicago and all most all political persons in that area know him on a personal level of some sort... Obama is just lying to make that assosiation less because he is a political person who came under fire for his assosiation to a terrorist (active in kilin and bombing or not)

If You admit to bombing others peoples property in a manner to cause terror and you dont get put in jail because the FBI screw up, your still a terrorist..

Nothing has changed he was a terrorist convicted or not.. He got off because of a legal glitch, and has admitted to the crime over and over because he cant be put on trial twice for the same crime.

Obama knowing him or not isnt going to change anything, but to say they only talked about business is just spreading it thick.. Think about it how many people you work with dont know anything about your personal life or your beliefs...

Ohh well defend him because he didnt get convicted, but I doubt any of you would say if Osama got off on a glitch that he was innocent... Double standards apply I guess..

To me he is a terrorist who still has the belief that any thing goes when getting your view across... Sorry but no one on here will change that view by saying "well he didnt get convicted"

And no matter how you spin your views we as the people have no idea if Ayers and Obama had been talking anything or everything, but either one of them stating they didnt isnt going to prove anything.. Remember most wont self incriminate themselves..

And considering our use of non traditional tactics in our fight for freedom, he might not be wrong.(but I think gorilla warfare is more acurate). If the States was under a differnet goverment rule and used civilian attacks to gain its position then terrorist would be a good term, but the Militia didnt target innocents just redcoats.. But as with any war its in the way you want to label the sides...

But I understand your point all too well.....

Isnt a lock just a tool to keep honest people honest?

If the crooks didnt abuse the system then the system would work?

What change as a goverment can we make that the army of coporate lawyers wont find the gaping holes in_?

Seems to me that no matter what protection you try, someone tries even harder to by pass it.

So I personally think that the goverment cant create the perfect law based on the fact it is coporate America that lines the pockets of said goverment.. And to do so would limit the goverment officials to be goverment officials...

But I hope we can stop some of the major issues without making the goverment our boss/mortgage holder, bank, and everything else...

Smith who told bush to restrict the markets? Did congress pass a bill to do so and Bush vetoed it? Did the senate pass such a law and Bush spearheaded the failure of it in the house? Im asking because I havent heard this before.. Please can you explain this better for me...

    Superlib I agree...

Afgahnistan is an UN war and maybe the other countries should increase the troops there.. And we Americans can all go home and watch the war on TV and be critical of the fight...

    Ahhh wouldnt that be nice...

    Lmao...

Maybe if you two actually meet in the middle you would have a more truthful arguement.. Some people in Iraq are glad to have the US there and what they did, some hate us more now then ever.. The war was not on a barbie dream empire it was on a country that had a leader killing his own people in genocide, but we shouldnt have gone alone we should of waited for the UN to back the invasion and be the rebuilder. The war in Iraq has caused financial burden on the US, but our goverment is over spending and under taxing its people, they spend too much overseas in support of goverments who dont deserve the money.

See its kinda a bit of both of your extremist views..

    Monarchy 2012 !!!!!!

    Off with their heads!!!!!!

If "if" and "buts" were candy and nuts would it be christmas everyday?

Seems allot ask this question too much....

What if Sadamm had stayed in power and what if he built a nuke, and what if he fired it?..

What if the US didnt invade Iraq? What if Sadamm wasnt taken from power? What if the UN was more then a social gathering place?

What if Canada was a world leader? What if they had to be the world power? What if Africa was peacful? What if Iran made candy instead of hatrid? What if NK changed its nukes to flower planters?

Maybe we should look at it for what it is..

9/11 was an attack from AQ to the west (not just the US but all that it represents).

The attack on Afganistan was an UN/NATO attack based on multiple countries armies, mostly by the northern alliance..

The attack on Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 terrorist attack.. It was to dethrown a person that the UN had called the most vile ruler in modern times...

We will leave Iraq with a better overall situation then when we came in with more freedoms for the people.. It wont last long and Iraq will be just like old..

We will have our men dying more often in Afgahnistan then Iraq and we will hear those against the Iraq war saying the same about Obama and Afganistan..

We will still be looked at, as the super power with both love and hate...

And to top it off we will have to pay more taxes because any 2nd grader can tell you a bigger second number(expenses) then the first number(income) is going to be negative...

    :)

What can you say? If she decides to run in 2012 she wont have to be vetted again:)

To say Obama will be elected in 2012 is a tad premature... Just maybe when you hold all your eggs in one basket you end of with all of them broke.. Let him serve a few years then either raise him to the sky or lower him to the Bush.. Judging his ability to run a country well enough to get reelected before he even takes office is just weird....

I like Condi and/or Powell to give it a go....

Maybe Bill Gates will do it, hes a shoe in...:)

Three things you dont talk to people about..

    Politics.... Religion.... Sports....

People forget logic and common sense when they talk about these three things.. To unite people in any of these three topics would be impossible.. So just like the thought of world peace, the thought that people can over look these topics and get along isnt going to happen...

    Sorry reality bites...

Being in is being in.. be your job is slinging eggs or hand to hand combat you still served

Umm smith actually I did... see the above statement... and it also seems everyone else understood it fine..

USAFdude at 09:48 AM JST - 12th November

smith - I gotta give this one to Nippon, dude. Every service member's job contributes to the overall whole.

I would rather have a typo or a miss spelled word then an idiotic statement like the ones you throw around, sorry I might be nit picky too, but most of the time you speak from your opinion and ignore the facts.. Just like saying my Republican candidate didnt get in, since I voted for Barr that would be a hard one to sell. Who did you vote for? ohh thats right you cant vote...sorry

Actually any veteran who serves during a war is a war veteran, he might not of seen combat, but if you serve during the time of war you get the medals and the ribbons just like all the other guys..

Like it or not your statement is based on your hate of a man and not on facts, just like so many of your comments..

In your defense you cant help it when you sound so out of reality because you try to be right even though you have no clue, which is part of your MO--- anti American--- Anti Bush---always try to sound right----

    I leave you with this..

Opinions are like bungholes, everyone has one and they all stink....

as far as the VP.. He is doing his job standing in for the President at a function. So in that case he is representing the C in C and I have no problem with that...

Doesnt mean I have to like the man and his ideas, but I do respect his position as the VP, just like Biden (I dont like allot of his Ideas, but I do respect his position).

Once again for those who cant follow very simple English..

Once you sign the enlistment contract/ get drafted.. Raise your hand for your country, and finish boot camp..... then you are a military person.. when you stop working for your goverment you become a veteran..

Your job title while you are in the service doesnt determine if you are a veteran once you are not in the service..

So for those(the one guy who doesnt get it) who still dont understand, no matter what job Ronald Reagon did while he served doesnt change the fact he is a veteran, and the same goes for George Bush, Elvis, McCain, but no matter what it doesnt apply to anyone who was a girlscout and felt like they had been in the military like one on here is trying to make a point with...

Being in is being in.. be your job is slinging eggs or hand to hand combat you still served... To judge one if they actually went to war or not is foolish, a veteran is a person who served in the military not a person who was in war... I served in war my brother served in peace but we are still both veterans..... Some who didnt serve in the US military or are even part of the US seem to think they can decide who served and who didnt...

Reagan served in both reserve and active duty... GWB served in the National .. both of these men are veterans.. Maybe you dont like that they didnt see combat, but that doesnt change the fact they are veterans...

And yes I think every person in the US should serve 2 years in the military, then maybe people will understand what it means to be a veteran...
