    In my home state you have to be 12 and have to attend a gun safty course to hunt or use a gun... Guns dont kill people do, just like knives, box cutters, cars, and bombs....

    so switzerland is a gun hungry killing everyone country?

    Using ILK is a childish way to try to lump a person you dont know into a made up group of people you feel are wrong when they disagree with you.. Since it is so childish and children cant repeat adult words so well they say IKE...

    Core beliefs are what fuel the goverment in Iran and that includes no western influence in the region as stated by him in this artilce and every other time he speaks.. "He said Iran and other nations of the world ‘‘also want U.S. intervention to be limited to its borders, especially in the Middle East.’’

    Since this wont happen as Israel is a very important part of America's policy making the Iran goverment would have to back talk and change its core beliefs.. I dont see that happening do you? and if you do show me any proof from history where they have dropped this core value and belief?

    I also understand your deep desire for your neighbor country that you admire so much to start talking to Iran, but as we all know talking to a wall is not very productive, and when it comes to Irans core beliefs they will not change with out a new goverment coming into power.

    Dont argue the logic from your side, look at the facts from their side.. We all would love peace. But to obtain peace you have to have two sides that are 100% for it, and that cant happen when one side has a core belief it has to wipe a race and a country off the map.. You logic is sound we should be able to talk it out, just like a police man should be able to talk a guy so he doesnt kill a hostage, but if the guy doesnt want to not kill the hostage the talk doesnt accomplish anything...

    World peace is a dream I have.. but I am smart enough and have lived in this world long enough that it cant happen, it only takes one person to change peace to war..... Its a sad thought but its a true one.....

    I hope Obama can bring peace to the region but Allah couldnt so I think Obama might not be able to either....

    My post and all statments in it apply to the history of this ruling party (they took power in 1978) and not the centuries of history for the area.even thought they did have more wars then I want to count... But you can try to apply what I say to the region or the whole religion because it makes you have an argument..

    Or you can blame all the evils on the US which is your MO..

    The UN and a ton of countries have tried to be diplomatic to Iran, but Iran doesnt want to go that route, unless of course when you talked to their leaders on the phone they told you different? Their history is to do it their way, its not hard to figure out that Obama isnt going to change their core beliefs just because he is Black, Young, Raised for some time in the region etc etc etc..

    The problem is simple for my IKE... I have lived long enough to see the promises of the wanna be presidents fail over and over again. I also have also seen the hate and rhetoric of this Iranian goverment for many years and have seen it doesnt change even under sanctions.

    I wish the Middle East would settle down and become a love fest but it has shown since before I was born that it doesnt like that form of living....

    Maybe countries like Canada can send people there to show them how peace works when the UN and many other countries have failed trying...

    So please show me how and I mean with proof how Obama is going to change Irans core beliefs?? I think he might try and thats good, but I dont see this godly power to change them that way..

    ...I want to make a correction to my first post I thought they took power in 68 not 78 so maybe not before my life time or yours if your that old...

    I think Iran realizes that Obama is their best chance yet at coming to some decent COMPROMISES, and perhaps even peace.

    Iran isnt going to change no matter how many people they like they talk to.. They didnt change when daddy Russia offered and Obama isnt going to be able to do anything with them either.. Peace can only happen if its wanted, Iran just wants to rule the area without any foriegners in it.... Its never been a matter of Compromises its been Iran way or no way for longer then you or I have been alive....

    Iran like everywhere else is hoping for peace; you guys should give such hope a try. So after you talked to Obama you talked to those in Iran and they want peace? Is that after they kill all those they dont like?

    To want peace is very different then to eleminate those you oppose and those who do not share your religion.....

Show me the wars that America has been the attacker.... since I said "Since Russia has attacked more countries" and then show me the lack of attacks by Russia that you claim(which started in the 9th century, but you can start with 1721 when it became the Russian Empire)

    Show me a comparision to prove your statement... As far as intercontinental, well gosh could it be Russia attacks its neighbors and America is not doing such...

    But if you feel a defensive item is considered offensive because its part of a group, then thats your opinion no matter how demented and off the wall it is.....     Thank you superlib for pointing it out..

    I would hate to see anyone continue the eye poking when we are already blind to what is going on in the world.

    We have a ton of things to take care of and we cant do that with a one sided country or a one sided goverment.. Of the people, For the people, means all of the people. Left, Right, Lib. Con, or Independents like me.

    I hope Obama does some of what he promises, but above everything else I hope they stop the wound we have in our budget system and spending system instead of poking at the wounds for 4 more years.. We need to get control of our financials..We spent the last 4 years bleeding out and now we need to fix the issues..

    Just so you know USAF, I voted Barr because he actually had a plan to reduce the national debt that added up, I liked Obama's Energy and McCains ability to talk to either side.. I didnt like Obamas "our side is the only side" that was the theme of the Party , and McCains never wanting to change (since he stayed the corse on too much)Nor did I like that neither of them would actually control the spending and reduce the debt we have....

    You didnt offend me but I did feel you spoke in direct contrast to the man you elected...

    Now since I out rank you.... Go back to work:)

    A nut cup has nothing to do with the gloves you get hit with.. one is defensive the other isnt. The patriot system is a stand alone system.. Based on your logic any weapon is offensive because it is part of a military that has offensive weapons... Since the sdf has weapons does that make it not a defensive force?..

    Its not a circle but you are chasing your tail like a dog instead of trying to understand the simple fact the weapons in question are not offensive and cant be used to attack anything, they operate as a defensive system only...

    But you are right that NATO does have offensive weapons in the area and they can attack with them... But then again so does Russia...

    As far as Russia having the right to do what it wants in its country ... hell yea, but then again Poland (and NATO) has the same right to do what it wants... Since Russia has attacked more countries then the US I will go with the answer Russia is more the aggressor.

    Umm Yes we have defensive missles, we also have defensive only gun systems.. The patriot system is a defensive missle. Seawhiz is a defensive gun system...

    What Georgia did was wrong, but Russia attacking further in was wrong also..

    Ill write it more basic for you.. You dont have the right to disagree with the CinC, but a civilian does have that right and they dont serve the president (like a military person does) the president serves them.. Republican is 50% of Americans and statements like glad an American was voted in and not a Republican is a very childish statement.. You cant argue your taking the high road when your making statements like that..

    You have no idea who is a Republican or who is a Democrate.. and when your in combat you dont really give a damn who is either , you know and respect them for being a human not a political member.. So I would have to say you trust a person and not a political party, but hey if you cant trust a republican then you cant trust half of the military people....

    Im just glad I didnt serve with you.. But I did serve with many from both parties that I trusted with my life day in and day out... Including serving under both parties presidents..

    You should read the UCMJ sometime.... You really dont have any rights that a civilian does.... They let you do somethings, but they can take those things away anytime they want.. Thats not freedoms when they can remove them at will...

    Anyways thats the end of this thread talking to you because I know you wont take what you said as a childish idiotic thing said and will defend it until you turn blue in the face because to admit your wrong would kill you...

    I think you generalizing way to much to be taken serious.

    First of all a terrorist and a military have allot of dfferences that make them known as one or the other..

    A military has uniformed personel who have to follow a guideline of rules to try to prevent civilian damage. They also have to uphold a higher standard in the treatment of the enemy. American military doesnt target civilians, it happens that civilians get killed but it isnt the goal, terrorist target civilians as the goal. I know you havent served and you havent been in combat so I forgive your lack of knowledge on such matters, and I also understand your trying to make a political/personal point using this type of talk, but its just correct they way you try to represent it..

    Also a majority of the terrorist in Iraq are not Iraqies so the foriegn troops in their country doesnt apply then.

    Ask your self this Cave... if in a situation where you could be captured by one group over the other who would you rather be captured by? Remember most terrorist dont take prisoners.... If you had to have one group or the other in your country would you take the ones who try to help or the one who aims for your wife and kids at school or church to kill?

    I know the war sucks, I want the troops back too, but Im not going to compare my fellow military guys and gals to the terrorist of the world...I say this as I have said before, go to any American base and tell those men and woman that they are just terrorist and see what happens.... We are doing our job not for ourselves, but for others. It would be a hell of allot easy to kill em all and let god sort them out, but we die trying not to kill the innocent... Hopefully you can someday understand the difference between a terrorist and a military person...

    Come on USAFdude.. first of all you dont actually believe what you say do you? I served under multiple presidents, and took very indirect orders from them, just like I took very indirect orders from congress, but being a political person is not a right in the military when it comes to your orders.

    Ours is not to reason why ours is to do or die..

    A civilian doesnt have any obligation to serve a president, a president has the obligation to serve the people..

    You have a strange sense of reality when it comes to that.

    All elected people serve us we dont serve them, unless we are under a contract to work for them, like military or civil service.

    As far as the rhetoric and such, if you believe you served Bush in a proper manner as a military person, then how do you explain the many comments about Bush you made.. In the military you have no rights to free speach hence why you have a UCMJ... You cant call your commander an ass without getting punished, and you called Bush a ton of improper names..

    Also a hand over of a president doesnt change your job in any way, unless laws get passed that do such, and none will be past the day he takes over..

    Since you state you had followed the change over from Clinton to Bush that would mean you have over 8 years in the service, which means you had to have reenlisted more then once(unless you did a 6 year for school enlistment then it would be just once), so does that mean you liked being in the military working for Bush? Why would someone who is very much against war and Bush's policies reenlist at least once if not more_?

    Anyway... Bush is doing his job in making the transition as smooth as possible, and that is what he should do.

    Stating the crap that you state is counter productive to the US and therefore is counter productive to Obama..

    Dont show a few idiots and say see they did it, its ok for me to do it... Thats shows a lack of intelligence and reminds me of the saying.... If he jumped off a skyscaper would you do it too?... Just because someone is an as s doesnt mean you have to try with all your might to be the same...

    Take the high road and dont become the child... But then again you started the childish acts on this thread so maybe you cant go the high road..

    I served in peace and war, I served as a community based law enforcement officer, I served as a member of a community board, I am not a Democrate nor am I a Republican, but dont you ever try to say Im not American... and dont tell those whos political belief is different that they are not American or are Anti American.

    Sad people cant get over the political world and think as a country or a people...

    When we have a president who carries 70% of the popular vote then we will have a president who is going to change the US for the better.. Obama won just like Bush won.. Not by a land slide but by a margin..

    As I have said before it really doesnt matter which one of these clowns gets in because neither will do anything that is going to affect the debt in a positive way, remove the ungodly spending problems our country has, and fix the basic problems of our goverment...

    Its just another puppet controlled by the Company puppet masters..

    Congrats to Obama, and Im actually glad we have a nonwhite president.. I hope he can do just 1% of what he wants to do, but Im afraid he will just increase the debt and not get anything worthwhile accomplished..

    He also thanked the "Choom Gang," a reference to "chooming," Hawaiian slang for smoking marijuana. Obama admits in "Dreams" that during high school he frequently smoked marijuana, drank alcohol, even used cocaine occasionally.

    He also only lived with grandma until he was 6...

    Seems he lied allot about his childhood and what really happened then.. You should read this...

    Skip the military flew me from Iraq (via the red cross) to my home because my grandmother was dying.. This was the first Iraq war, but they do it for grandmothers..

    As far as his use of the campaign plane for personal use, it is a violation and should be looked at.. Would I have done the same.. Hell yea I would of been on that plane so fast you wouldnt even know I left...

    I feel sad for his loss and hope he can overcome that feeling, and I dont think anyone will vote for him because his grandmother died..

    Wonderful woman_? blah blah blah?? How the hell do any of you know? Maybe she was , maybe she wasnt.. some on here act like they have diner there twice a week.. sheesh..
