The thing is most people get off with light sentences by just admiting to what they did and paying a small fine. If you refuse to admit what you did, even if the police have no evidence against you, you will be heading to a jail sentence.

The Ministry of Education needs to actually teach teachers how to deal with problematic students. As it stands right now, teachers are not allowed to even kick out students who are disruptive. And with teachers having no control over the students can only smack them on the head or put chalk in their mouth.
The teacher should have used some common sense, and just ignored the student.

Why not let the mother choose the method she is most comfortable with instead of hospitals dictating the methods and resources that expecting mothers are offered. From my experience there is serious lack of including the father in the pregancy. Most of the hospitals are only set up for the mother, not families. If you are having your first baby here(Japan) don't expect to be treated like you are making a family, but rather a sales transaction.

Why is it always people like you telling people to return to their countries? Why not add to the discussion instead of trying to end it.
As for the story. To avoid being exposed to dangerous fumes/gases why don't these places install carbon monoxide detectors, or something of that sort?
