A "peerlessly great leader"? Really? Kim Jong Il can count Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Idi Amin, and even Satan himself as his peers! Scumbags always keep good company! As for condolences go I'd love to send a special gift as a fitting send off to the great leader but I believe the post office has rules about mailing excrement!

I'm holding up my middle finger of condolence for Kim Jong Il. My only regret is that he died of a heart attack and not at the hands of those he oppressed!

"celebrating the loss of life isn't a shining example of humanity" Really? Kim Jong Il was a psychopathic dictator responsible directly and indirectly for the deaths of over 1 million people! Not only do I celebrate his death, I'd love to travel to North Korea some day and urinate on his grave to pay my "dis-respect".

TEPCO, I am sick and tired of you polluting the world's oceans! Take the water, bottle it and serve it to Diet members for all I care but do NOT dump it into the sea!

“It is the policy of Panasonic to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including anti-trust regulations,”
Really?
“The impact of the news appears minimal, and the amount of the fine is not too significant,”
Maybe handcuffs would get their attention? This is another fine case of Japanese business ethics (or a complete lack thereof) at work.

After reading each and every comment above, I opened another browser window and made a nice donation to Sea Shepherd. I've been supporting them each and every year and if anybody wants to label me an Ecoterrorist I'll wear the label proudly! Protesting against the Japanese government is hopeless! The only thing they're going to understand is force and I hope SS dishes it out in abundance this year and bring the slaughter to a halt once and for all.

The Japanese whalers are banned from ports in Australia and New Zealand. History has proven that the only thing Japan understands is force, and that unfortunately is the only thing that will stop them from commercial whaling in the Southern Whale Sanctuary (sorry, the whole world knows the research line is complete bull$hit!) Let Japan, the greatest polluter of the Pacific Ocean, fish in it's own territorial waters!
