Shouldn't the headline read "Mrs Ayumi Schwarz"? I like the portrait but wouldn't really call it a sexy pose. Anyway, every little effort and cash will be much appreciated by the people in Tohoku.

Since the insurgents aren't an organized military force of a legitimate government they are all technically "civilians". If they are armed and firing on NATO forces they are legitimate targets! Those supporting them should be considered hostile and 1500 hostiles in a single location is known as a "target rich environment"

pumkin31526, I was addressing the last paragraph of the article "and that the domestic definition of child abuse will be employed when such acts are brought into question" I am well aware of the diference between abduction and abuse. I do agree that Japan will drag its feet. International definitions of abuse already exist so I don't know why Japan needs to be adamant about applying "domestic definitions"?

The domestic definition of child abuse? WTF? Oh yeah, I guess speaking a foreign language to your children, feeding them western foods, and teaching them the customs of another country will soon be considered child abuse by many disgruntled mothers! Japan joining the convention and enforcing is is just like Japan enforcing nuclear safety measures - a joke!
