He gets 5 1/2 years and he has already served 5 years at GUANTANAMO BAY so he'll be out in 6 months. If he's really smart he'll write a book and tour the talk shows.

Law Enforcement did a great job...but..this stuff is made in a lab not grown in South America. Street value maybe $440 Million but it only cost them about $1 Million to make it in a lab, so it's not that big of a deal to the bad guys Unfortunately.

here's a scarey thought for you. Remeber that the U.S. Senate & Congress have a LOWER approval rating than the President right now. Look at where the two canadiates for the president are from...they a both from the LOWER approved Senate...think about this people!!!! Instead of getting new and improved we will be going in the wrong direction.

Why can't you news reporters give us more insight, like what was the reason this guy got beat up? Did he steal something from one of these guys, did he fall out while on a 10 mile run and embrass his squad?
If you news reporters would dig into this then we won't be wondering around in the dark with our comments...we could then make more refined comments like "he had it comming" or "I would have smacked him myself".

I totally agree with timtak on this one.
Posted in: I think many Japanese women feel that they can never live up to the refined beauty that they feel Western women strive for. So, instead, they shoot for a cute look, one that doesn’t require tall, curvaceous bodies and instead emphasizes girlishness.

Ok everyone seems to be missing the point. US Car manufactures should have been putting money into R&D to create better cars for the last ten years, but instead they found it cheaper to just pass money into the pockets of our Congress/Senators in order to reduce Govt manadated fuel effecieny levels (and other stuff like 5 mph bumber crash). This in turn allowed US auto makers to continue selling big SUV's - and why did they want to sell big gas guzzling SUV's? because there was NO foreign competition, no one else made SUV's but USA (yes there are now some foregin made ones but 5,6,7 years ago there weren't). So the big question is where will GM,Ford,Chy be putting their money - into R&D or into the pockets of our elected officals?
Posted in: There still exists to some extent an old image of American cars as being big, not getting good mileage and quality not up to par with Japanese cars. We have to change this and bring it closer to reality. We do that by improving our products.

This is one thing that I don't understand about Japanese news reporting. They never seem to ask WHY did this person do this. They just love to report a good stabbing. The guy who did it was a regular customer (I mean I would hate to be stabbed by a total stranger) so something had to get him mad enough to stab the owner - maybe the owner was watering down the drinks - but there had to be more to this - come on you news people dig into the story!
