I work in a public library and you may be surpised how many USBs are left at the computer stations. We keep them behind the desk hoping that the owners will return for them. You might be surprised as to how many are not picked up. Who knows what lurks behind our reference desk. We have not opened them to see what information is contained and we will not open them in the future. What is contained on them is none of our business. Could they hold the secret of the universe?

A couple of former prisoners have been seen in al Qaeda videos. Something to think about.

"Closing the site “would further the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States and the interests of justice,” read the draft prepared for the new president’s signature. A copy was obtained by The Associated Press, and an aide said privately that Obama would sign a formal order on Thursday. Some of the 245 detainees currently held at Guantanamo would be released, while others would be transferred elsewhere and later put on trial under terms to be determined."

Look out world Gitmo is closing. Who wants the prisoners?

I do not believe that abortion is right and even if I did I would not want my taxes to fund abortions. I have not taken a back seat on this and have emailed Pres. Obama about this issue. I will continue to voice my opinion until I get a response from the White House. Abortion is not going to go away but I certainly do not want any of my hard earned money used to support it. It is wrong to do so.

Here's a short explanation: This president is a radical leftist with a thin resume - zero executive and military experience.

    Thank you. You are correct!

If one is born in America, he or she is an American. I do not believe that holds true in many other countries not just Japan. If one is born to non-natives in France for example, I do not believe he or she is "French" however the child is a French citizen. I could be wrong but I will do a little more research. Here in the US once a person becomes a citizen he or she is American.

He had his good points but as Shakespeare wrote: 'the good is oft interred with the bones.' Farewell Mr. President.

I may be the minority but I am not yet convinced. As I said it other posts time will tell how well Pres. Obama will do. I can see why Obama was elected but people are fickle and he must be very careful with his decisions. People will be watching him closely perhaps more closely than we have in the past.

Promises, promises. Too much hype. Too charismatic. The height of euphoira. A little bit scary. It was just too much. I was eating lunch while he was speaking and became a little bit nauseaous. It is too early to predict what is going to happen. Time will tell. I hope for the best.

Good grief, I just re-read my first sentence. I suppose that is what I deserve for typing this while at work and with the phones ringing off the hook. Reviewing this site is part of my job as a librarian. However I should know better than to submit without doing the preview.

When the party in power makes a mess out of things it is almost a guarantee the the the other party will win. By the way, I do not claim to be psychic but I feel a sense of foreboding around this presidency. Something does not feel right and I cannot explain it. I certainly do believe that "Happy Days are here Again". It is going to take a lot more that mere words and campaign promise to get us out of the dumps.

A lesson to be learned is to get the media's support and you will win even with lack of experience. The media elected this man and I sure hope he does well. Pres. Obama needs to be aware of the fact that when charismatic leaders fall, they tend to fall hard.

I was bullied as a child. Bullying should not be allowed either on the playground, in school or online. Violaters should be prosecuted.
