We are free to chose reading material that best suits our individual lifestyle. It does not suit my lifestyle so I chose not read it or to purchase it. I work in a public library and it seems to be popular with some people. More teenagers than adults, more boys than girls. The adults (usually men) who read manga in the public reading area are not your "typical" adults. I have never witnessed a business man, lawyer, etc. reading or checking out manga but that does not mean they do not read it. I do not want anyone to try to force it on me and neither would I force my preferred reading material on anyone.

I would have to be well compensated to stand in line for a Quarter Pounder. They are not all that great.

Militant environmental activists: The key word here is the first one. There are better and safer ways to protest. It is not as if the whalers are going to kill every whale in the world. I would think that as closely as they are being watched that the whalers would know their limits.

It was actually a little bit silly but on the other hand no one got hurt. Let it go. It could have been worse with many people getting harmed. Isn't it consider "good luck" to have shoes thrown at you?

People who hold their library cards in their mouths and then hand them to me to scan. I sit at library reference desk and I really am annoyed with people who stand over me belch but passing gas is the worst because my face is about level with the region the gas is coming from.

My last comment was poorly written. A co-worker ask me something and I failed to proof read. By the way, my fellow co-workers and I enjoy Japan Today very much.

As for me, I will wait and see what happens. I do hope things get better however he is going to have to carefully watch his every move. I am concerned more about his and his family's personal safety more than anything else. I did not vote for him but I do respect the office that he will hold.

I know a man whose tattoos are disappearing because the ink is eating away his skin. I will admit, he is the only one I know about. This is no urban legend, he will show you the ones on the calves of his legs if you ask. His condition may be a rare side effect but it is something to think about. Personally I do not care for the "art" and I wish it would go away. Tattoes on aging bodies are not a pretty sight. (Just one more deterrant in my opinion.)

There should more concen about health and safety issues than with visitor behavior . I have no problem with the auction being closed to the public for whatever reason.

I was sitting in church Dec. 7, 2008 and thought about the events of Dec. 7, 1941. I think it is good that we honor all those who lost their lives during WWII.

Good idea and the white phone would show dirt much better than the black phones. I rarely use a pay phone because of dirt and germs so I probably would not use one from a vending machine even a white one.
