    I am surpised at his choice becuae it could be risky. One of my co-workers just said: "If she can run Alaska, I guess she could be VP."

    I do not see Biden as the best choice but he certainly isn't the worst.

    In my opinion it would have disastrous if he had chosen Clinton. She is too strong willed to be a vice-president. I believe they would have not gotten along very well. A president needs a VP who is compatable. I would love to see a woman as president or VP but not Mrs. Clinton. She can be downright nasty at times. Besides all that she still has Bill at her side. She should have ditched him long ago but I supposed that would not have been a good politcal move. I want whats best for my country and the world. At this time, I do not know which candidate would be the better one. I need to do some more research.

    We tend to lump and label a certain group of people as "Asians" but do not take in consideration that every "Asian" country has a culture that is unique. All "Asians" are not the same!

    If one is a part of a belief system then the chosen lifestyle should impact everyday living including politics. I do not belong to a group that prefers one candidate over another nor do I not campaign for a particular candidate or try to influence others. I work at the polls on voting day so I have learned to keep my opinions to myself.

    Why are you uncomfortable with the candidates?

    For a number of reasons. For example: McCain has more experience with the military while Obama has more experience with racial inequality. One is older and one is younger. This is just two examples among many. For me to make my choice one of them will have to have someting that stands out above the other. So far that has not happened for me and I am running out of time. In some ways their words are similar. The termonology use in their speeches is different yet means the same thing if one listens intently to what they have to say.

    The war dead should be honored and I do not have a problem with them being honored with the display of the flag that they fought under. Here in the US, the Confederate dead are honored with their country's flag. I live in a northern city in the US and the American Legion and the Boy Scouts place Confederate flags on the graves of the 6 Conferderate veterans who are buried in our local cemetery. It is a sign of respect. They were fighting for what they thought was the right cause.

    What is wrong with that! Nothing, I do not care about someones ethnic background. I know there are racists all around us, and I do mean all around us. The world is full of racists.

    As a Christian, I can say I am not comfortable with either one of them. The presidential candidate I was more intune with dropped out months ago. I am having a difficult time with the choice of candidates. I can only hope that the VP will aid in my decison. If I were to vote today, I would leave it blank.

    If boys in Japan are like boys in the rest of the world, there is a lot of pushing and shoving when they get together. My condolences to his family and friends.
