Ishihara's advice should have been "Dude, you need a bigger shovel" or stop digging already!

Left home when 17, had a job everyday sense.

We have several handicap spaces in the company that are filled by people who want to work, not just stay at home thinking someone will (should) take care of them. Fantastic people.

Have a few family members who can't or will not find work, ran out of "give a damn" about what they do now and turn it off when the wife starts on about how they can't find work.

This P.C. stuff is getting a wee bit ridiculous. How many have actually been court marshalled (SIC) for the violation of Executive Order 13387?

Not everyone who violates orders, is court marshaled. Some receive an Article 15 or Capt Mast as punishment or even a letter of reprimand.

Thanks for the clairification, but you sort of made my point.

You’re still missing the point that American Service Members, cannot solicit sexual intercourse from anyone, period. Not even the legal brothels in Nevada.

A major step towards the establishment of a zero-tolerance policy with respect to solicitation of prostitution by U.S. military personnel was taken on 14 October 2005, when U.S. President George W. Bush signed Executive Order 13387, which amends the Manual for Courts-Martial to specifically enumerate “patronizing a prostitute” as a violation of Article 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). U.S. military personnel will have committed an offense if they “compelled, induced, enticed, or procured [a] person to engage in an act of sexual intercourse in exchange for monetary or other compensation.”

It would be difficult to believe he would approve of his daughters being forced to work in such a military establshment in the 21st century.

While I agree, no one would like to see their daughters working in these places, let's keep on track. It's not a military "establshment".

They are Japanese ran and will not allow the military access. As with dozens of other "establshment" on this island that discriminate against foreigners.

Tell me, where is there a "legal" sex business in Japan?

Here, and you live here knowing full well that the names of these places in Okinawa are well known.

    Legal status

Article 3 of the Anti-Prostitution Law (売春防止法 Baishun Bōshi Hō?) of 1956[17] states that "No person may either do prostitution or become the customer of it," but no judicial penalty is defined for this act. Instead, the following are prohibited on pain of penalty: soliciting for purposes of prostitution, procuring a person for prostitution, coercing a person into prostitution, receiving compensation from the prostitution of others, inducing a person to be a prostitute by paying an "advance," concluding a contract for making a person a prostitute, furnishing a place for prostitution, engaging in the business of making a person a prostitute, and the furnishing of funds for prostitution.[18]

The definition of prostitution is strictly limited to coitus.[19] This means sale of numerous acts such as oral sex, anal sex, intercrural sex, and other non-coital sex acts are legal. The Businesses Affecting Public Morals Regulation Law of 1948 (風俗営業取締法 Fūzoku Eigyō Torishimari Hō?),[20] amended in 1985 and 1999, regulates these businesses.

I could be wrong but I heard there was a "near miss" by a 'plane due to a passenger either playing with "tamagochi" or using a cellphone during take off. The electronic waves interfered with communications between the Control Tower and the pilot.

    And they provide this how?

Why don't they install litter bins every kilo or so, so that climbers have somewhere to put their garbage?

And who would be climbing Mount Fuji everyday to empty the trash cans placed every kilo or so?

Because they can't get crap done in 8 hours.

People sit and procrastinate 7 hours every day in our office, only to "put a rush" on it, the last hour.

It doesn't get done and now overtime is required.

Biggest waste of people power, the banks. 4 people to give you a piece of paper for deposit or with drawls.

My question is, what was he denying?

Driving without a license or driving at all? You have a license or you don't.

10 additional days, to do what, from the cell?

How long was he in before the additional 10 days was tacked on?

“I did command him not to, but the dog bit that woman of his own accord.”

Yes and the police "command" you to leash the dog and you did not of your own accord.

    Now you pay.

I'm not trying to be rude, but why are you guys all assuming the stabber was the acquaintance when it clearly says he was not?

I'm not trying to be rude, but you are right, I can't read, because I still don't see it stating this.

What I do see is alot of thinga happened "suddenly".

As Jack pointed out the acquaintance might have been a girl.

I never said it was the acquaintance who stabbed him. I did READ THE ARTICLE. It might be because of the acquaintance, as in "that's my (fill the blank)" and now I will stab you. Who knows.

Don't think this was random. See acquaintance.
