It never ceases to amaze me how seemingly intelligent people will derided JT for printing this story and bad mouth the Yakuza without knowing one iota of the organization itself or the people involved. They only repeat what they have read second hand in a newspaper or heard on tv. Yet, these same "seemingly intelligent" people say nothing of the criminals in the governments around the word and the criminals in big corporations who steal from them and poison them on a daily basis with absolutely no regard to human life or the planet all in the name of profits. This goes to show the ignorance of the average sheeple and how easily they are controlled and led by the nose. Both are "criminals". It's just how you define criminal.

I, for one, applaud the Yakuza. At least they are doing something. As someone who has lived in Japan for many years I still have close ties with my Yakuza friends and I would trust them and seek their help in time if need before I would call a cop or ask for help from my government officials as they get results without the red tape. So, unless you can back up your claims with facts, you best not show your ignorance on matters you know nothing about save for what you have read or think you know.

The right to keep and bear arms ensures that we will always have a first amendment: Free speech! Take our arms away and we will lose the first.

Something's fishy here. If anyone has ever driven on the San Diego freeway in the middle of the day, there is much traffic and the average speed is about 55mph, if not slower, and there are many cars. For one to drive at 94mph,with a "stuck accelerator" for an extended period and NOT have an accident or hitting someone is a little too hard to believe.

Representatives Mica, Kanjorski, Kaptur, etc. ought to be ashamed of themselves for their elitist, nose up in the air attitude and very unpolite attitude towards the executives from Toyota during the hearings. It was a downright shame and is a fine example of US political grandstanding and Japan bashing.

Sure Toyota is to blame for not facing up to the problem, but I feel it has more to do with the foreign leadership of Toyota, Inc. in putting quarterly profits and sales ahead of of quality and ignoring the Japanese way of doing business. Before foreign executives, Toyota only put out yearly profits and forecasts. Having worked for a Japanese company in the US who made the move to hire foreign executives in the 90's, I witnessed this first hand. As profits, cost-cutting and quality declined, I resigned in disgust as the Japanese allowed themselves to be bullied into doing it the "American way".

It was revealed today that the woman who testified about her out-of-control Lexus, sold it to a private individual and it has been trouble free for the last few years and 27,000 miles. The problem, therefore, is not an easy one to fix as no one knows the exact cause and no one has one that is actually defective at present.

Toyota employs 200,000 people in the US and Japan holds much of the US debt. If Japan told them to "shove it where the sun don't shine, we're doing our best to solve the problem" I would be smiling from ear to ear. They better be careful about who they bash.

Nope. Never have, never will! There are just too many sites providing news for free and commenting on articles. Besides, news travels instantly over the internet these days. Paying for "yesterdays news" as with a newspaper, is just not worth it IMO. It is so 20th century.

Isn't JAL already partnered with American Airlines? They share the same flight numbers and such. Besides, as was mentioned above, "does it really matter"? and why should we care?

Big freakin' deal! So what! Do people really give a crap about what this couple, or any famous couple for that matter, does and if so, why? It's beyond me why people are so obsessed with famous people when they couldn't give a damn about you and your family.
