SS won't be able to stop the whaling by throwing smoke bombs.
Ramming another ship in the middle of the sea is not a legal way to complain about SS harassment. The whalers are doing much worse by ramming. Piracy laws need to be reviewed and proper action taken.
Definitely navies should get involved.
The videos on both sites are usually edited in favor of whoever is publishing them. We need an objective third party to document this.

bisoy: there's no use in having WIFI everywhere if the router or modem are connected to narrowband or worse, dialup. Only fiber optic gives you equally fast up/down speed.
The speeds mentioned in the article are most likey download speeds, but in some networks, such as DSL, upload speeds are only a litte better than dialup.
With infrastructure such as Wimax and LTE getting rolled out, having to struggle to find a WIFI hotspot will also be a thing of the past.

this article is not talking about WIFI. They are just talking about the speed of wired connections, and this usually depends on how much fiber optic cable infrastructure has been laid down.
I agree with goddog having a large landmass does affect, because on average there are many areas in the US that are not developing as fast. This test should have been more useful if it's limited to the major cities, and then just rank the cities.

it's not only what happened 60 years ago. it's not only the denial of what happened. Mostly, it's the poor attitude of Japanese towards Chinese that prevents relationship from really improving. There is a sense of superiority in Japan, and it is stronger against China and other asian cultures.
Yes, more than 30 million Chinese died during the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward, but the overall quality of life in China has improved 1,000 fold in the last 25 years, whereas in Japan everything is stagnated or collapsed.

this article hit the trend right on the head. Japanese work ethic is going down the toilet, and old-school bosses don't have the balls to do anything about it.
This is a continuing sign of a demographic change that i have been observing. As more and more of these freeters and losers join Japan Inc., they will rot Japanese corporate culture to the core.
As much as people may look to China, they too need a lot of help in this area. However, in their case, it's the older workforce with the state-owned firm background that has no ambition. Younger people in China are more likely to see the company as a money-making operation.

how could anyone do this. This is the worst thing that you could do to a human being. whoever did it deserves to rot in a jail cell for the rest of their lives, or worse.

h shot a bogey by only being with 1 intoxicated girl. For a guy with his looks there should have been 2-3 drunk girls to rustle.

This is a great, short concise article with some good data to back up.
It's a buyers' market out there, and for those priviledged few with cash in their wallets, it's some of the best party times since the 80's.
Hostess clubs and those other formerly exclusive establishments are showing a lot more appreciation for us average Joe Schmoes.
The Internet also has helped to break down the walls and create entrepreneurs out of many of these ladies, cutting out the middlemen (i.e. pimps).

why pick on the US? there's so many countries out there that have livestock industries in worse shape, some of them with a large % of GDP. Yeah, things in the US need to improve a lot, but it's not only the US.
I heard a lot of stories about Wagyu getting raised under extreme conditions.
