Beatles songs were some of the first english songs for karaoke in Japan.Some older karoke places still only have Beatles songs on the enlish menu,kind of a default setting.The karaoke influence and the fact the songs are so easy to sing has given them a free ride here for 45 years.

God no ! At a grass roots level it would be a nightmare for regular fans with the lack of facilities and language ability.That's before actually the expense of travelling here etc.Japan is just not developed enough to handle it in the right way.Also,the tackiness of Japan would be nasty,boy-bands at events etc singing juvenile crap etc.
