Outside of some of the bigger cities Japan is like one big junkyard.Japanese should start here rather than overseas.Drive from Tokyo on route 4 all the way up to Fukushima,that is some of the ugliest scenery you will see,comics littered for 4 hours and rusted derelict buildings,cars,you name the trash and you can see it.

Really,who cares who won ? It was Japan and Korea for a start,decent high school disciplined baseball,not pretty but effective,manager dominated.People just aren't used to that style in the US.It's not crowd pleasing,but c'mon the tackiness of the broadcast and the fans was amusing...for all those insecure gaijins,it's ok,Japan is not the best in the world for the next 4 years,hell,they didn't even play most of the actual baseball playing nations,they just were good at this format.

It was a conservative boring game....what a ridiculous situation,now there's a possibility we'll have Japan and Korea again in the final...they've played what,4-5 times already ? It's hardly the "WOLRLD" classic.

The world was simply deceived by the "image" of Japan...this developed sophisticated country....that image was and is much bigger than what the country has to offer.The history and culture is surprisingly shallow and for all the hubris Japan as it is today has a history of about 100 years.I get very embarrassed as a Japanese when I have guests from overseas who come here and all have the same reaction.." This is it ?? " The lack of english is terrible,but remember Japanese struggle to communicate with themselves Japanese,an easy an very limited language. Don't be fooled by Japan and you won't have a problem...we just try to give a bigger image than what we really are.As many foreigners say,just live in Japan for more than a year and you'll see the real Japan...unsophisticated,politically backward,physically ugly(enviroment and people),xenophobic,educationally inward and shallow,culturally shallow.We know this in the back of our minds,all that arrogance is just insecurity. Somehow this country works if it stays together,however it is quite a miserable pessimistic and dull place if you are REALLY looking for intellect.

Really,who cares ? Most Japanese couldn't give a rats about the issue,don't have an opinion on it and find those Yokota's sad and embarrassing.It's Japan's issue,why doesn't it take responsibility for it instead of asking America all the time ? After what the Japnese did to Koreans in history,it's no wonder people don't care about 47 people that were kidnapped....
