It's hardly a rant...just an opinion.J-pop IS horrible horrible stuff.I remember Utada Hikaru saying that J-POP music made her so embarrassed,and was making it really tough for her to be taken seriously as a singer in the US.She mentioned the Japanese language was half the problem,being a difficult and rather ugly language to sing in.

PLEASE not Japan....Beijing was an absolute eyesore of a place,and Japan isn't far behind.A nice scenic country would be refreshing....no more rusted fences,pachinko etc...horrible as a tourist to get that all the time in Japan,Korea and China.

I think that comment.."whale is in such demand" is one of the funniest things I've read on this debate.Sounding sillier and more desperate every post...especially to foreigners living in this country.A little bit too simplistic...that childish rhetoric might work with some Japanese,but c'mon,with a majority of educated foreigners it's almost embarrassing.

kwatt...Japanese generally accept that meaningful political change will never happen...the "shyouganai" attitude is the majority here. Your comments about tv programs and magazines etc are utterly ridiculous.What programs etc are you on about ?????? Give him a break...the crowd reaction was fantastic and the atmosphere great.There wasn't one bad comment from the fans.For the sake of the sport let him be.I think as soon as he gets close to breaking the wins record they will find a reason to dump the guy...the Japanese way.

He has talent,but it's golf,give him at least 2 decades.The Japanese media coverage of this kid is hideous.A lot of the older famous golfers like Aoki and Jumbo Ozaki are always telling him to act like a 17 year old and stop sounding like an old man.Being Japanese is like having a very heavy anchor for him.
