Time for Mccain to rest. There wouldn't be any other better time to pal around with your grand children than after Nov.4.

Sarah, at least you kept us tickled all they way. I can't imagine how boring John's team would have been without you. Alaska is not far, go back and continue hunting, playing hocky, Oh and those six pack! Just don't forget to return the clothes they bought for you.

    Its over.

Japan is too weak for that position! If it could only have a little bit of muscles like Iran.

My belief is that the stature and salient experience eminating from Joe Bidens performance and delivery in this exchange, far outweighed the significance of the personal uplift Sarah Palin so badly needed. In fairness, she recovered some ground after a long week, but that is as good as it gets. Her standing, allegedly sagging moral in the GOP party play second fiddle to the marching polls that are rapidly enhancing colours.

Ms Palin, whatever view one takes on her qualities and future potential, is simply is not yet equipped, or ready, to assume the appointment of Vice President of the United States of America.

I also thought Senator Biden handled the meeting with diplomacy, tact and in the spirit of a gentleman. He could have gone after her on a personal level far more specifically and countered SP comments far more assertively - including white flags, Iraq, Iran and more (which the moderator should / could have done) but his overall pitch was spot on.

Serious situations required serious judgement and skills. My money remains firmly on the Obama / Biden team - they have the quality of statesmanship; the leadership and vision to re-focus a nation and lead it out of a political graveyard and the embarrassing failings of this x8 year GOP legacy.

What we are simply witnessing here is a religion being hijacked by a few idiots and nothing more. In this case, they simply ended up blowing and ripping themselves up. How stupid can one be?

Obama needs to call out the Republicans as the liars they are. They constantly say Obama opposes drilling, I see no push back from Obama on that flank. But the Dems need to focus on McCain, not Palin. This race can be won, and we need to pre-empt the Republicans embrace of change(with no specifics). The polls will matter more after the first debate. But the O campaign has to set it up. FInally, the Dems need to emphasize to those poor white rural voters who don't realize as Webb does that poor black voters, poor Latino voters all have one thing in common with poor white voters: they are ALL poor and have been hit hard by the Bush economy. Do that and we win. Do not despair, Americans in general are smart, and the younger voters get it and will turn out by the hundreds of thousands this cycle to vote for Obama. What the Dems have to do is set up lawyers in Colorado and Virginia where all indications point to the Republicans attempting to rig the voting system, and scare away younger voters with lies. This is a cultural revolution afoot. I hope the bloggers pick up on what I have just posted. Because its the heart of what Obama needs to do.
