Anyone who thought that religion, i.e., Christianity, and politics don't mix in America just doesn't know real America. It's always been that way, just like it has been with race and politics.

I commend you for being among the very small minority of patriotic Americans who feel this way. I really do.

Trust me, that applies to USA just as much. Let's not kid ourselves that American managers and CEO's are more open and receptive to the opinions of their lowly subordinates. One big reason why American manufacturing floundered is because of unwillingness of the mangement to listen to the suggestions by assembly line workers or not encouraging them to do so, at all. Contrary to the popular belief, American manufacturing did not lose its ground simply due to the cheaper imports.

Then why is he letting the Japanese ministry of education teach the kids that Korea's Dokdo is Japan's? That only damaged the fence between Japan and Korea, not help mend it. On another note, however, although I'm a Korean, I can sort of sympathize with his self-imposed avoidance of visiting the war shrine to pay his homage as the top Japanese official. In fact, I don't think that the U.S., Russia, or Western Europe would be too happy to see him visit the site, either - not just Japan's Asian neighbors.

Racist whites in USA (and there are quite a few closet-racists here in USA, trust me) will interpret the projection as a "wake up call" to further maintain their poltical and sociaoeconomical power by subtle means while trying to falsely comfort the minorities that they will be more empowered, so should not complain about the continuous glass-ceiling or exploitations that exist against the non-whites.

Well, that's fine, except we get upset when Japanese whalers intrude into our Korean waters to hunt and catch whales. Oh, but wait, that goes for ALL Japanese shipping vessels, doesn't it?

So, there is still plenty reason to sneak into the states for work.
Am I wrong?
Nope, you are not wrong - at least not completely. But, when there are employers in America willing to pay only what the illegal immigrant workers are willing to work for or consumers who are unwiiling to pay enough for products or services to support the livable wages for their fellow (legal) Americans, well, the results are predictable and Americans cannot have it both ways - not pay enough to their own that foreigners are willing to work for, then complain about the latter.

So, why does Japan need to kill so many, or kill any at all, to do these sort of "scientific studies"? I thought its so-called scientific research unavoidably required killing and dissecting these mammals, but none of these goals require such acts - certainly not 1000 every year. Come on, Japan! Just who are you trying to fool here?

If the majority of Cacasians in America really did work their asses off, as you think, there wouldn't be a mass influx of Latin Americans crossing the U.S. border, because there won't be enough works for these people who are willing to work much harder than the white Americans, for much less pay.

It's his life and his choice to make, but why doesn't he test the water for 2012 Olympics gold medal, first, by competing internationally for next two years? If he doesn't do well enough as he wish, then he can quit after that and not worry about 2012. Despite all the political and cultural differences, I do want Asia to become better in the sports dominated by the West. Will only a Westerner/Caucasian be capable of what Michael Phelps has accomplished?

And now she has the dubious distinction of being the first Japanese Olympian beaten by the first Chinese Olympian representing Korea. Ouch.

Trust me, it won't matter much, because the European-Americans still won't become the minority by much and they will still make up the largest single racial/ethnic group. But, most of all, it won't matter because they will still hold the overwhelming political, economical, and social powers in North America and these are what really counts, not just the size of an ethnic population. South Africa with apartheid rule under the whites who only made up about 10% of its poulation but controlling paractically everything over the 90% non-whites is a perfect example. And the whites are still the richest and the most powerful in South Africa, today, even after apartheid.

He didn't yell long, or not all, each time after he won. However, he yelled longest after he won the relays, because it seems he really enjoys winning with a team than just by himself.

About the match, obviously I'm glad that SK team won their bronze medal, especially with less than optimal preparation due to some turmoil their coach had last year with the Korean Federation of Table Tennis. Sorry that Japanese women got beat so badly. However, I think Ai Fukuhara is cute. And, yes, Dokdo belongs to Korea.
