A surprisingly large amount of the bullying that goes on in Japanese schools is not only something that teachers are aware of, in many cases, they are actively encouraging it.

I find that incredulous.

The problem with Japan and some other Asian countries is the mandatory retirement age of 60.

Heh, in Korea some companies seem to start to push the workers out the door once they reach 40. Too many college grads can't seem to find jobs after they graduate, also - sometimes…

That's too bad. I was about to suggest that Japan, South Korea and China put aside their political differences to jointly produce better and safer passenger planes, as EU does to produce their Airbuses to compete with America's Boeing and McDonnell Douglas.

She's still a teenager, so she has many years left to improve and become one of the best in the world - not to mention a gold medalist. I wish her a better luck in her future international competitions, including 2012 Olympics.

Anyone who thought that religion, i.e., Christianity, and politics don't mix in America just doesn't know real America. It's always been that way, just like it has been with race and politics.

At the rate China has been winning the medals, beating China almost guarantees winning one, also, and particularly gold.

Patriotic Americans do not care someones ethnic background. We are above shallow feelings like that. People cannot understand how we intergrate so well and fairly.

I commend you for being among the very small minority of patriotic Americans who feel this way. I really do.

If the Japanese whalers are not intruding into the territorial waters of other nations to hunt whales, then as annoying as they may seem, they are operating within the limit of current intertnational whaling law, I believe.
