What a strange thing to say (or would that be a bad translation). You don't know if you'll win or not until some time after the bid!
This mad dog has to realize that Tokyo's money is NOT his money.

I think the Obama administration should just ignore this. The Chinese government has to say this every time an invitation is sent out to the Dalai Lama. It's like the Japanese government has to speak out when something they don't like happens in the Southern Kuriles or the Korean government has to complain when Takeshima Day is announced, etc, etc.
By the way, I find it strange how few people gave a damn about Tibet before China's economy took off. Very strange.

Are they going to ban the Narita Express? The most useless and least value-for-money train service out there.

Hmm. It seems that, when it comes to East Asian countries playing in sports, be it golf, tennis, football or volleyball, the women are doing more than their fair share.

Just like how the SDF needed baby-sitting services by the Dutch army when they were abroad.
The Japanese authorities just stab other nations in the back after sympathy and help poured this way. The Koreans - they got a thank you note, Takeshima style. The Taiwanese - their students were refused financial help here. Rest of the world - up yours, we're continuing to catch whales (all in the name of science, of course!). Oh, and Australia - babysit for us. And for anyone else - please buy our products (although we haven't checked for their safety - or in the case of France - we knew about the cesium but didn't tell you anyway!)

They're addictive - that's why I try not to buy them anymore. Once opened, I eat them all in one go. Once a month is ok though!

Yes, what's wrong? Whoever said it was years? It could be referring to months.
Karen had real talent though.
I can't wait to see the "vegetable" menu. If it's anything like the "salads" available at McDonalds, then I may be disappointed.

About bloody time too! I'm only surprised the police gave her FOUR warnings. She should have been fined before the first warning. And they can get tough with drivers too. That's the problem - people do it because they know they can usually get away with it - letting children stand in the front seat, not letting pedestrians cross the road when the pedestrian lights are green, texting and holding umbrellas while cycling. I've been involved in a few near misses myself because of these selfish idiots.
Have to agree with namabiru4me - nothing will change. These idiots can do as much damage to themselves as they like - no skin off my back. The problem is that they can cause injury to others.

Last time I looked in an anatomy textbook, lesbians were still capable of getting pregnant.

Here we go again. When your arguments fail, bring up these words. Don't tell me, all paedophiles are gays too? And if you have a problem with polygamy, maybe you can go to some muslim country like Indonesia and start campaigning there. Straights are doing a pretty good job of 'desecrating' the sanctity of marriage - just look at the number of divorces, the way some people are getting pregnant, getting married, then divorcing and repeating this willy-nilly. You don't need gays to do that. As they say - you don't want gay marriage then don't marry a gay person.

The real test is how they perform LIVE. This girl CAN sing (even when dancing) and she CAN play the piano. The problem is that her outrageous costumes divert attention from her talents. I actually enjoy some of her performances, but that meat dress really was disgusting.

So was she running onto the train or did she get off to let others leave and couldn't get back on?
There are some sensible people who, while they could have made it to the train if they'd run, don't go for it because it's too close. Others are just plain rude for holding up the train.
Once, I was traveling from Tokyo station on the Chuo line. The doors were open on the left and some guy rushed in just as the doors were closing. He made it alright, but his sports bag was stuck outside! Very unfortunate, considering the doors opened on the right hand side at the next two stations. I could tell everyone wanted to burst out laughing. Can you imagine - you see a train go by, and a big bag is hanging outside! I had to get off at Ochanomizu and I could tell he wanted to get off there! I have no idea what side the doors open at the following stations but I hope he wasn't forced to go all the way to Takao!

You mean: not even leave a single Krumm left standing!
Well, as of this moment, Krumm is leading by one set!!!! The last player Krumm beat was British, but what's William's excuse? I guess she must be really rusty having been away from the tour for a long time.

Big deal! I've been doing that to my neighbors since I moved here a few months back. Apart from the hairdresser working next door, everyone has ignored by 'good-morning's and hellos. Frankly I've given up. Never had this problem back home. It is better when you live in a more well-off place with families - they'll say hello when you bump into them, like in the elevators, but not here!
Same experiences as Tmarie. Ah, those BBQs with the neighbors back home - long gone.

I see nothing 'girly' or 'boyish' about some lump that resembles Jabba the Hut.
And I don't understand why this Tanoshingo would be wearing a bra. Hakuho or Asashoryu, I can understand.
