I agree with your point, Kameleon. However in 1963 The Beatles were one of those same starving bands trying to make a living. The money came later. The Beatles knocked down a musical door for countless bands to follow, yet regretfully most don't make the yen that John, Paul, George and Ringo did. Not to say that it couldn't happen.
As for iTunes, I have found more unknown indie bands searching through iTunes than I ever have at Tower Records. Support All Music.

Ugh, he's still riding on that one, horrible song.

Money aside, having easy access to Beattles music on iTunes would be nice, but nothing can match breaking out the old vinyl. That's how music was meant to be played!

Soon enough they'll create the title of "Ambassador Ambassador", to be the Ambassador of all the countless Ambassadors in Japan..or something like that...

If he sticks to his classic rock hits, I'd consider it. I saw him a few years back and he still puts on a good show. But I'll stay home if he plays those big band and showtune messes. To bad he can't kick soccer balls into the crowd anymore!

I agree, seeker1; I've seen The Stones and Pink Floyd at the Kingdome, and the acoustics are trash. But still, a great time overall!
Pete is very firm in his discussions about hearing loss, and has advocated against our wearing of loud headphones. But then let's not forget Keith Moon deafened Pete in his right ear back in the 70's when Keith packed his kick drum full on explosives and lit it off without giving notice on the Smothers Brothers TV show. A classic rock moment!

She's actually a good singer, if you like that smokey throated lounge sound from the 60's. I'd take her over Amy Winehouse any day.
Is 900 people a "mini-concert?" Some better bands are lucky to get 90 people. Maybe they meant the set list was short.

I agree with Otaru, and with Blue Tiger. For those who think this is funny because the victim was a cop, think twice when you are in dire need of assistance. And thank that Cop who comes to your aid.

His version of Lucy In the Sky was even more mind numbing.
From what little I know, Takei's dislike for Shatner has gone on for 30+ years and boils down to Shatner's personality. Amazing that Shatner still hasn't a clue. Maybe he should listen to Takei on the Stern show...

In 2008, Phelps won. The technology proved it, regardless of it being created by Omega or Casio. We seem to forget two days later the womens 50m freestyle was also decided by the same margin. But imagine 10, 20 years ago how these races were decided by people holding stop watches. If that were the case now, we'd truly be arguing for years!

888, your comment about Americans is personally biased and unfounded. Yet, oddly enough, your statement regarding mismanaged wars is spot on. And that's why this poll is interesting --- for 8 years the US has not had strong leadership, and the result is a worldwide fiasco. The poll is not about the actors, but the strength for which each portrays.
My vote goes to President Palmer from "24."

Around 5 years ago I saw The B'z play a club in Seattle for 400 people. Also saw Dreams Come True at a small theater, maybe 1,200 capacity. It's not an expensive venture for Japanese bands to play the US west coast. It's a nice vacation for the band, and it re-connects them with their fans living abroad. Yet I hesitate to call two towns a "tour"...

A young crowd. My vote goes to Cesar Romero. He was stunning in his portrail of the original Joker. He was the first among followers, yet I agree that Ledger, Nicholson and Romero all had extremely different versions of the same character. All were great, but Cesar set the bar!
