Yes, you can legally purchase an AK-47 in the US, yet there are restrictions. Only a few states ban them all together. Why you'd want one is another reason. It really serves no purpose except for military use.
On occasion I find myself agreeing with smithinjapan, while on the other hand these weapons are the end result of a person who obviously has suffered years of mental health issues or drug abuse. People in this state of mind will act out, regardless, and will seek the weapon most readily available.

Liberalism??? What are you talking about? No secret servicemen were killed in the two attempts on Fords life, and Carter only pardoned Oscar Collazo, who attempted to kill Truman. Chapman is in prison because he killed John Lennon. Not an attempt. And that's where he deserves to stay. Forever.

Soundgarden, Lady GaGa, Green Day, Jimmy Cliff, Devo...plus 30 other touring bands in the lineup. Seems like the only nobodies were X Japan. I imagine most the crowd expected John Doe and Exene to show up instead.

Well said, mokgohan. I expect their US tour will be playing local clubs and an occasional House Of Blues if lucky. I saw the B`z in 2004 at a bar in Seattle, maybe 500 people at tops. I doubt X Japan will top that.

Ichiro is probably concerned with being misunderstood or misquoted, which might be why he still uses an interpreter. Understandable. But Basque country? Seattle is far from it, Ultradue.

Ah, my dear Mariners. That`s 7 coaches in 8 years. Apparently they forgot it took Lou Pinella 6 years to build a winning franchise. So we will get another coach to fire in a year, meanwhile Wak will no doubt get hired by a winning team.
Some14some, Ichiro is 100% correct. This team is loaded with overpaid, useless talent who play poorly and act like children (Figgins. Enough said). Managers do not run bases poorly, strike out, or drop pop flys. The M`s players got Wakamatsu fired.

LOL! I highly doubt Japan is luring the Chinese with traditional values! An odd statement considering Perry is American, who`s only hit song was entitled I Kissed A Girl!

Only a modest fan of their music, and yeah only 2 of 9000 sing, but the dancers are quite good and their shows are spectacular. For me, TV will never surpass a live gig.

An unrelated statement to blame Obama. Underwater oil drilling has been going on since the late 1930`s. Accidents, too. Worse than Katrina, no. Worse than Exxon Valdez, probably.

As a survivor of the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens (remember that one?), there was no significant issue with global food supplies. Our crops were initially flattened, but volcanic ash contains many minerals that in years to follow, made our vegetation quite healthy. I also would not make Wikipedia a reliable source for anything...

Like them or not, theirs is a film about not giving up on dreams. They predated Metallica, Dio and Yngwie, and their album Metal On Metal set the tone for all followers. Anvil rules!

No, adaydream, it is not that simple. Legalize pot? Why the narrow focus? That`s only one drug. How about heroin, cocaine, and meth? There is way more money in these than pot, so should we legalize that too? And human trafficing, cannot forget the cartels make extra bucks doing that. Do you really think the cartels care what they sell? They are not users, they are sellers. They want money. Period. Legalizing one will stop nothing when the other three continue to sell.

shinhiyata, I happen to know Warrior from Triptykon, and he would disagree. Pavement is just one of many musical acts from a genre that differs from your personal appeal, but that in no way makes it less legit. Pavements tour will be amazing! J Rock is right...just stay away.

I have not always agreed with my own countries aggressive acts, but this is an absolute new low, even for scum drug lords. I say launch dozens of missles in broad daylight into every ranch house of every drug cartel. Right now.
