Let`s be real here, people. Do normal, healthy 32 year olds drop dead? I like Britney, really I do. She was fabulous in 8 Mile. But her battle with drugs was well documented. She was recently fired from her last movie for blacking out in mid-scene. Sadly, her tiny body was no doubt so worn down by her addiction that any illness, even less subtantial than H1N1, could send her body into a tailspin. Especially her heart, which is an organ greatly affected by drug use. I am sad for Britney and her family. RIP.

This would be somewhat understandable if the battle was between biological parents, but in this case the mother is dead. Brazil is overstepping the lines here. The boy should be with his father.

I see over and over numbskulls posts slanting these cartel murders toward marijuana. We see your personal views on THC, which overall I do agree with you, yet it has been said before that marijana is the least profitable drug on these cartels menu. BC Bud took away Mexicos crown years ago. The big cash for these guys is heroin, cocaine and now meth, probably not in that order. Legalize marijuana and only a small dent will be made in Mexico`s drug trade, and the murders continue. This tragedy in Mexico is about money, supply and demand, and more money. And when Mexican cops make $600 a month and a drug runner 10 times that, I doubt much will change.

Matsui, Ichiro...the west coast just got a big boost in Japanese tourism. Otherwise, Matsui wants to play ball, not just be a DH, and the Angels gave him this opportunity. A smart move by both.

cptmendoza, the police were drinking coffee, writing reports on laptops when ambushed. Hard to protect oneself when you don't see it coming.
Killer killed by police? Well, I imagine if Clemmons had raised his hands as directed, instead of defying orders and walking toward the officer with a gun, then fleeing, he might be alive. His choice. This officer killed no one. He protected himself and ridded us of a monster.

If the notion that Clemmons was "executed" infers that justice was served, I agree. If it alleges wrongdoing by the police, I take acception. Clemmons was a cop killer who had no reason to stop. He had a dead officers gun with him, and was a threat to anyone in his path. Now that this scumbag is dead, the police can go after all his family and friends who aided his escape. It wouldn't bother me one bit if they suffered the same fate as Clemmons.

Huckabee aside, the Arkansas parole board had issued a no-bail warrant for Clemmons this past year. This should have secured a one-way ticket out of Washington, but when Clemmons was arrested several months ago, Arkansas cleared the warrant so he could not be returned. This is a common practice between US States, to not pay extradition costs and to let the other State deal with their past problem. Clemmons later posted bail and, well, now this. If laws are changed as a result of this, then a little good has come from this tragedy. Still, it's no relief for the families right now.

Well, that was fast. Usually only the bad flicks go straight to DVD, not ones still making money. Maybe the Jackson family needs more $$$?

Naturally the Florida police have the legal right to interview a person if a crime was committed. However in this case the police don't have any proof a crime occured, just an accident, so they cannot force Tiger to meet with them. It becomes voluntary. That loophole gave Tiger time to stall and work hard on this first public speech, which was worded so very nicely.
I just want to know if his head wound looked matched that of a five iron.

Rather than the Gov, who I am not a fan of, the laws and sentencing guidelines need to be reviewed in Washington. As should the judge who allowed bail on a proven violent and dangerous offender.
These four officers were having coffee prior to going to work. We all do the same, but we all don't wear uniforms marking us as targets for a small, yet dangerous number of nutjobs. Lame sabiwabi jokes aside, police are men and women who do a tough job, and they do know the risks. My heart aches for the nine kids who lost a parent today.

You got punked, Secret Service. Filing needless charges against the people who showed your flaws might make you feel better, but won't change what they did. Punked!

Bad decision. Even with monitors in place, ankle bracelets are easy to take off and often slow for authorites to respond to. Polanski has connections and my bet is within three weeks he will slip away back to France, where he will again be protected for 30 more years.
