Comments like Sarge made are fairly distasteful if someone claims to stand for democracy, doubly so if said person was actually in the military and had taken an oath to fight for a country, not just for a President when his/her politics just happen to match yours. Comments like that, whether from someone on the "left" or "right" show that the US Founding Fathers had some sense when they were wary of party politics - many put party loyalty above loyalty to their country, and in that sense they do not really care about democracy - they actually prefer a one party state.

Right, except that nearly every other poll shows Obama ahead by 7-11 points...so I guess this AP poll is a maverick, so it's natural to cling to its maverickosity.

Good point.
I second the point made earlier that people out in the sticks are friendlier and less nervous about foreigners than Tokyoids - Tokyo is not Japan.

Gotta echo what others have said - if whitewashing your past, warmongering, massacres and human rights abuses are reasons not to have a UNSC seat (assuming these actually apply to Japan), then what the heck is China doing there?

The obvious solution is to dress up a life-sized doll in clothes similar to the object of your unrequited love, and take the doll out for romantic dinners and walks in the park, preferably somewhere where the real person can see you and realize what a mistake he/she has made when he/she sees your obvious happiness. Always worked for me.
Either that, or kill their Maple Story avatar.

So if the crime was illegally accessing a computer, then the virtual murder is actually irrelevant, e.g if she had instead made the avatar naked or walk around with a "kick me" sign, the charge would be the Somehow I doubt that.
