Wearing short skirts is fine, looking is fine. Moving a camera into a position where you can take pictures is not fine.
It's pretty obvious stuff.

Agree with the multilanguage statement, it's a shame Windows doesnt do that as standard too. You need to buy the ultimate version for that.
Nessie- if you uninstall windows you may lose your warrenty, check before doing it. I had to keep my Japanese version of windows 64 bit when I put on English 32 bit to keep my warrenty on my new laptop.

Strangely? Windows 3.11 is slower than DOS, Windows 95 is slower than 3.11... etc.
Hardware now is so cheap this really isnt a factor unless you are running a backwards PC. The new operating systems do more, and require more resources. If you dont need to do more, use an older operating system.
It's all about what you need the PC for, there are many choices out there. I'm all for choices such as Linux, however Linux is only really suitable for a minority of people.

I wouldn't mind joining if they cleared my backpayments. I think in this situation it's the right thing to do.

Interesting discussion. From my experience vista was an excellent OS a year after release, I didn't touch it on release (why would I when I can let other people test it for me).
Am running Windows 2k on one PC, Vista on another and on my laptop.
I've heard only good things about Windows 7 from people testing it, however I still won't upgrade on day 1, even though it will be free to upgrade a desktop and laptop.
Macs? I guess if what you need to do can be done one one, they aren't bad. But I'd rather build my own PC for under half the price.

I was on the Japanese national insurance for a few years, and then I moved to Tokyo where they neglected to tell me I have to change my insurance details. Thinking I was still insured (as I had informed all the relevant authorities of my move) I continue seeing my doctors as usual. Manage to accumulate 9 moths worth of medical expenses before they tell me my insurance isn’t valid. I worked out I would have to back pay over 200,000 yen for the medical treatment received in that period. Went to my local ward office and asked to be signed up, was told I’d have to back pay the 9 months of coverage and I wouldn’t be reimbursed for my treatment in that period. I couldn’t afford to sign up for health insurance as well as back pay the claims from the year, so I had to go without insurance. Now 15th months later I can’t afford to rejoin the scheme due to the ridiculous back pay system. … Not pleased.

Yup, a broken system. If you want good teachers you need to pay them well and treat them well. If you don't they quit and you end up with a school full of people who can't find better jobs.

Right now teaching in Japan can be interesting, but its not a career. Do it on the side and start your own business doing something else to keep you going in the future. There are a lot of other things you can do.

There's nothing wrong with Holocaust denial, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But for the leader of a country to show his ignorance / bias like that is a stupid move. Celebrating stupidity is not a good thing.

I've been using mp3 players around 10 years or so now, and never owned an iPod.
Let me change the battery! Let me copy files on and off my player at will. Let me use my own software to move files. It's far too restrictive.
Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be much choice in the market anymore, and I worry if my current player dies, I'll have to buy one.
