Fighting back is pretty hard , usually bullying is a group activity, and they want you to fight. They will push you, taunt you and trip you up until they get a reaction, then they will beat you up, destroy or steal your stuff. There isn't a lot you can do unless you can get a group of friends together to fight back.

The NHS is generally good, but dentistry turned into a joke around 10 years ago where all the NHS dentists turned private, leaving the public no choice of where to go.
Japan's system is pretty messed up too from what I hear, people getting turned away from hospitals in the countryside until they die in an ambulance untreated (do they have helicopters?). Seperate health insurance plans for full time workers, leaving the part time workers and self employed to support the government plan and therefore the pensioners.
The American system is also terrible, far too expensive and profit driven by the HUGE companies who benifit by denying people treatment. I hear France has a good system.

How can anyone feel good knowing that the person they are talking to is only there because they are being payed? I dont get it. I like the idea of these boat rides, with the cute staff and all, but in reality I'd just be thinking "Does she actually have any interest in what I'm saying?".

The teacher should have been fired. It's an insane thing to do to a child. Teachers are there to help children learn.

The guarantor companies are a joke, I would rather pay a guarantor fee directly to the real estate agent that would be refunded when I leave... Stupid stupid system. The housing market is such a scam in Japan.

So you don't want to set him off by removing his toys? Sounds like he needs to see a doctor if he is bringing his dolls to class, that is not the behaviour of a well adjusted adult.
I wonder if the lack of mental health support is in any way related to this article?

It's difficult if you care about the one you are with and they are uncomfortable with it. It's easy if they don't mind. Playing around is the same, if you really care about who you are with it's not a good idea unless they are okay with it (perhaps let your partner do the same).

They work on commission, and it's often down to the individual you are working with. A person who has done the job a long time may be far better at maintaining a good relationship with companies, whereas a new staff member is just looking for his first big payout.
