Last laugh is Dubya's. Chirac and Schroeder are gone. In their place are pro-American leaders. And in Italy Bush's old ally Silvio Berlusconi (same age as John McCain) is back in power.

Question: Why would a presidential candidate whose overweening narcissism led him to pen not one but two autobiographies before the age of 45 (though he has no accomplishments Americans would generally recognize as making him presidential caliber) be afraid to debate in a 'town hall' format? Answer: His handlers know it would dawn on ordinary Americans that without a script Barack Obama reminds us most not of previous presidents or candidates but of his own disgraced mentors and spiritual advisors, the Rev Jeremiah Wright and Fr Pfleger.

McCain is right here. It's not about the candidates' wants and wishes - or in Obama's case his handlers' fears - it's about what American voters want. Bring back the 'town hall' debates. A real man, an honest candidate would step up.

A real man, a real candidate would step up, 'rigged audience' or not. Hell, Bush faces one every day.His opponents, the MSM's big guns, openly admit most of their star reporters and broadcasters are left-leaning.

Would have been fun to watch Barack Obama try to play grown up.

Yes, it appears Bush once again got things wrong. A quote from The Daily Telegraph, 6 June 2008:

Most of France's tanks, helicopters and jet fighters are unusable and its defence apparatus is on the verge of "falling apart", it has emerged.

According to confidential defence documents leaked to the French press, less than half of France's Leclerc tanks – 142 out of 346 – are operational and even these regularly break down.

Less than half of its Puma helicopters, 37 per cent of its Lynx choppers and 33 per cent of its Super Frelon models – built 40 years ago – are in a fit state to fly, according to documents seen by Le Parisien newspaper.

Two thirds of France's Mirage F1 reconnaissance jets are unusable at present.

Terrorists and liberals celebrate this ruling.

By it both groups are at last able to take their common agendas - to destroy America - to the only battlefield they know offers the prospect of victory: the courts.

If I were Barack Obama's handlers I'd have him slam the legacy of Che Guevara. Photos like this aren't going to help the jr senator's chances in battleground states. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2008-06-10-ohio-lethal-injection_N.htm?csp=34

Barack Obama can't even convince high-ranking Democrats that he is who he says he is. Why should Republicans vote for him?

Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs tells The City newspaper in Nashville: "I don't exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for — and I'm not sure we know enough about him. He's got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be."

You just knew Fox News would get ahold of that story - - - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oA7noNiwkg

So many expatriates in Japan want so badly to vote in US elections. It's hard not laughing in their faces at times. Don't they have 'townhall' - type debates in democracies like Australia?

I oppose this ruling but must admit it opens up some exciting possibilities for those who oppose America's War on Terror. It appears we are basically saying terrorists and non-uniformed enemy combatants now enjoy the same legal rights granted to US citizens. So here an opportunity presents itself: Human shields, anti-war activists and Democrats can further their own causes by learning Arabic, or Pashtun, or Farsi. They can precede our troops in battle and recite the Miranda Warning to those facing capture or arrest by US forces. Show the world how to really win hearts and minds.

Talk of Iran highlights the albatross that is still around the neck of the Democrats' braying mascot. Obama shouldn't be tied to Carter's failed policies just yet. That's not fair. Because until very recently Jimmy Carter liked to tell people that Barack Obama lacked "the proven substance or experience to be the President."

Enter [malik obama my brother muslim] in google search, up comes

"Barack Obama's half brother Malik said Thursday that if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background. In an interview with Army Radio he expressed a special salutation from the Obamas of Kenya."

Haaretz, Jerusalem Post and Wall Street Journal carry the story, which dates from June 12 2008.

Right on. Great photo. Can't hardly describe how reassuring it is for a geezer like me to see that even young RandB performers like Usher give the grinning, head cocked, got-my-finger-pointed-at-you 'Palookaville' gesture to all their peeps in Japan.

I liked Obama at first, and I thought he might be good for US politics. But the Rev Wright videos and the Trinity congregation freakshow changed all that. It's just been downhill since. When you have a politician as unaccomplished as the jr senator from Illinois is you have to look at who he associates with. Tony Rezko, Will Ayers, Fr. Pfleger, Jim Johnson, Rashid Khalidi didn't help. The best thing for him, his party, and America would be for Barack Obama to undergo the sort of transformation that onetime Democrat Ronald Wilson Reagan did.

Camp Obama really do run a cunning campaign, even by their party's low standards. Obama is changing the focus here. The MSM eagerly plays along. He is making people focus on what never happened. He can use this to deflect attention away from all the embarrassments his racist church has caused him.

The 'Whitey' tape was classic Clinton propaganda and slime. It's sobering to think what the ascendancy of Barack Obama means:the Chicago Machine, which has replaced Clinton one, is obviously capable of even more sinister stuff.
