Not only it was 15 years now but as recent as last year this had been brought up even by JT and other news media around the world. What's wrong with this Abe government for making a sincere apology to this poor soul for the hugely miscarriage and to also compensate him for all these lost 15 years.

Abe and Hashimoto should take a lesson from Matsumoto. By speaking out and admit the truth would relieve one's great burden off his back for decades.

Yes Territorial claim by various countries have been fueling tension in the Asian Region. Recent shooting dead of a Taiwanese fisherman by the Philippines coast guard has added more fuel to this tension.

The reason Greece can' tis because Greece is in the mercy of the Euro Block largely dictated by the major partner Germany which insists on austerity action. Printing Currency of cause is a no no.

Any country can print money as a last resort to hopefully kick start its economy but there is a moral untold rule on excessive currency printing which other trading nations view it as whether it will affect their exchange rates. Currently the Yen is well over 100 yen to US dollars which it is also well over other international currencies exchange rates. Many of the foreign investors including US and if I may asoi predict the Japanese investors will be looking at this issue and deciding whether they should start moving out to other countries.
G7 countries had been encouraging Japan to lift its economy and that is exactly what Japan did but they now have reservation as to whether this currency printing is a tard too excessive that might affect their exchange rates. In particular most Fund and Institutions and Investor would be selling Japan Treasury Bonds and move Yen internationally and invest in other International Treasury Bonds for a better return, if this continue would upset many G7 countries.

The region is already in a destabilized state. The external influence including US and Russia and other Nato and Western nations had contributed to this uprising and taking the country to destruction . The US and other western Nations now worried that the Jabhat Al-Nusra of Al-Qaeda might be gaining a strong hold in the Syria conflict. If this is successful, the worry of chemical weapon falling into their hands will be a real nightmare for the US and the world, the whole middle eastern region will be in turmoil for a very long time.

I remember reading history where the heroic people of Papua New Guinea assisted the Australian soldiers in the battle with Japanese soldiers and many perished. The people of this part of theworld had/has been forgotten for their suffering under the Japanese military. It's time a sincere apology should be also be given to Papua New Guinea

Tomiichi Murayama is a descent man and PM of Japan. His apology has been a sincere apology. In his apology statement on female as sex slave the word "coerce" was left out.

You might have missed some economic points here, far from what you have just put most foreign Investors are not moving out of China. I agree with you on the pollution side which China needs to do more to reduce this big problem. As to your last comment you probably failed to read that China is starting to open up the financial sector. From reports put out after Australian PM visit to China there seems to be discussion and tentative agreement to allow Australian financial investor to participate in this sector. If so others would follow.

France is conducting itself diplomatically. Having diplomatic relation with China and Japan does not mean that it can't do trade with China. Selling military weapons to China on conformity to international rules is legitimate business just like US selling weaponry to Japan.

@ House Atreides
All citizens of nations are led by either ambitious or stateman like leaders but most were led by nationalist and militaristic leaders. Ordinary citizens were/are sandwich between and moved along whether they like it or not. Throughout history and to current time. We as ordinary citizens are no different. So when you made a comment regarding certain nation like China I hope you only refer to those that are in power and not subject the ordinary people to ridicule. Chinese are no different from Japanese citizen. As poster I only made negative comment on the action on the Japanese leaders when it is necessary and not the Japanese people.

In a recent report by Hendrix it reported that US has 10 aircraft carriers in service and another two under construction. It reported that China has one in service. It also further commented that China possessed DF-21D which were specifically created to target at aircraft carriers. It costs only around 10 million dollars a piece this would give them 1227 of these missiles for the equivalent of one aircraft carrier. Hendrix reckon that the aircraft carrier would be no match if hundreds of these missiles are targeted at the aircraft carrier as it cannot handle the sure numbers of missiles being fired at.

Asian Region was at peace while US was busy meddling into other countries affairs in the middle eastern countries, South American countries , African nations and Afghanistan. It was only after all these failed adventures including the weakening influence in the Europe that it turns its attention to Asia thereby created the pivot to Asia strategy. Since then all problems have surfaced.

No one really knows whatis the reason for the original 11 dash lines and then changed to 9 dash lines. Many scholars and posters speculated on it and put forward their hypothesis of the reason for the reduction in the dash lines. So toannds you are also one of them but keep on speculating until one day the real truth been revealed but meanwhile do not treat this as factual basis to support your future arguments.
