All I can say is that is nuts. I guess it's lucky he didn't have a gun.

We need more info before we rush to a terrible conclusion such as murder suicide.

I just hope that they catch the perv before he decides to escalate the violence and do something worse.

Meet me the cop in a parking lot at midnight. Think I'm gonna interrogate you in a proper manner? I say he took advantage of his position and should take a pay cut and loss of position and sh!ty posting but I don't see it as a crime. She should have exercised common sense, something not big in this country, and questioned the meeting at that time in that place. This tells me she sort of consented in a way so she'll have to take half the blame as well.

In the end off the day the cop abused his authority to coerce a suspect to have sex with him. That is a form of rape. Imagine if you were at college and were summoned to your professors office were he says he suspects you of cheating on the test, true or not, and then asks you to meet him somewhere private. You may go voluntarily and may have sex without him physically forcing you but you almost certainly would not have if it was not for the threat of expulsion. Now turn the professor into a cop and the test into some crime and the expulsion into an arrest that could be even more humiliating or in the case of her being a witness to crime that could put her in danger of retaliation. Bushlover's comment is an all too common example of blaming the victim.

I think everyone so far has failed to see the danger this poses to human civilization. Mankind has spent the past 2,000,000 years creating culture, power ballads, math, Coed sleepovers, science, one liners, architecture, clinchers, sports, stories to go with that scar/tattoo, art, polaroid nudes, war and Corvettes in order to convince another person to have sex with them because they are better than the other ape. If sex becomes as easy and legal as buying an ipod them we are all doomed.

I live in Massachusetts and a ten year old was taken from his parents and may be expelled from school because of a stick figure drawing he made so everyone the world over take stupid kids either too seriously or not serious enough. There is no litmus test for evil and you can't tell when some fool is mouthing off or is really going to do something horrible so you have to ere on the side of caution and put the publics safety ahead of the rights of an individual in a situation when violence is threatened.
