In January 2009, before he signed his failed Porkulous Maximus bill into law, Obama lectured the American taxpayers, telling us, “Everyone must sacrifice for the greater good.”

Apparently, that means everyone but the Obama's.

Heh, this reminds me of an article written in 2000 by a British Gore disciple claiming that children in England will never see snow again.

You know, there's a lot of things in the UCMJ that are odd and I think they are anti-minority. did you know that even having an orgy is illegal?

Doubt it, skip. Most of the posters at this site applauding the repeal of DADT either have never served a day in uniform or are foreigners.

The Powers That Be will never rewrite UCMJ laws to accommodate less than 1/8th of one percent U.S. population that volunteer for the military. Watch for more homosexuals to be drummed out of the service for violating provisions of the UCMJ.

Repeal would mean that, for the first time in American history, gays would be openly accepted by the armed forces and could acknowledge their sexual orientation without fear of being kicked out.

Pure nonsense. DADT was a way of allowing gays to serve. Now that it's being overturned, we're at last returning to the days when gays were discharged for being homosexual.

Also, this article doesn't address the issue of how the UCMJ factors into the equasion. For those who have never served a day in the U.S. military -- i.e., most people who support the repeal DADT -- the UCMJ sets down the rules of conduct for those choosing to wear a military uniform. Laws against things like sodomy, homosexual behaviour, oral sex, etc., are still on the books. Only a moron would think the military leadership is going to rewrite those laws saying those are now acceptable actions.

This Senate vote is going to ricochet on the pro-homosexual crowd. As an Army retiree and combat vet, I know from experience that the U.S. military has a way of taking care of business at a boots-on-the-ground level despite what some people think can be forced upon them.

Liberals were all flush with excitement when Obama was elected because they were duped into believing he was going to help basically anyone who had a grudge against the rich and successful. He was going to make it so that no one ever had to worry about paying their bills.

Now Obama is fighting against the party he leads to keep Mr. Bush's tax cuts for the rich in place.

Heh, what a difference two years can make.

The voluble former president took it away, and Obama left part-way through his remarks, saying he had holiday parties to attend.

Heh, Obama once again shows the world he has his priorities in order.

So, Clinton is going to try to convince the House democrats this is a good deal? Heh, wasn't it Clinton who came to Washington and explained to the democrats if they didn't pass the Barack Hussein Obama Memorial Health Care Scam Bill they'd will lose the mid-terms?

This just goes to show that the democrats only pay lip service to gay issues.

Reid was all to happy to table a vote on the DREAM Act but he forces a vote on DADT he knows he can't win? He could have gotten Brown and Murkowski by agreeing to debate time, and amendments and he refused and got bumpkus.

If gays want to continue to hitch their wagon to the Democratic Party, they get what they deserve.

Obama broke his promise to "Get rid of those tax cuts for the Rich", while the republicans honored their promise to "Not raise taxes on any American".

What's even more delicious is that Obama agreed to a two-year extension of the tax cuts; meaning, the party he leads will likely be campaigning on raising taxes in 2012. Yet, another perfect recipe for massive democrat losses.

The media actually vetted her like she was number one on the ticket and not like someone else who was actually......on the top of the ticket.

True dat. Thanks to the liberal media hate machine controlled by Lord Soros, Americans knew more about Gov. Palin's past and her family within 48 hours after she showed up on our political radar than it still does about Obama today.

I'll take hipocracy for $1,000, Alex.

It is entirely up to SK what actions should be taken and what role, if any, we or any other nations are to play in them. America and China have zero authority to act unilaterally against NK in this situation.

(Pistole) noted the alleged attempt by a Nigerian with explosives in his underwear to bring down a plane over Detroit last Christmas.

Pistole's lame excuse to justify the use of body scanners or pat downs (e.g., the panty bomber) occurred on a flight that originated outside of the U.S. So, these techniques by the TSA rent-a-cop thugs (members of the The American Federation of Government Employees union, btw) are nothing more than "feel-good" political correctness gone wild.

Time for the U.S. to rid itself of the poltical correctness and start profiling; the type that's been successful for decades in Israel.

If the TSA is "fascist" that's no fault of Obama. It was created by George W. Bush.

Pure nonsense. Yes, Mr. Bush embraced what was originally a democrat idea and implemented what became TSA. Then in the name of political correctness, the Obama administration declared profiling was offensive and now decided groping little children while their parents stand by and watch is the way to go.

So, Obama is implying that his version of START has to begin yesterday; just like the Barack Hussein Obama Memorial Health Care Scam and the rest of his pattened "you'll like it when it's passed" legislation.

This smells like another in a long line of Obama "emergencies". Unfortunately, he's cried wolf too many times now, and most Americans no longer believe him.

I understand people’s frustrations,” Obama said

Heh, Obama's now playing the "I feel your pain" card. The fact of the matter is, Obama will never see his own offspring molested by some fat, sweaty stranger who works for TSA while he's sentenced the young children of millions of others to it.

Until he's forced to stand by and personally witness his daughters go through the extensive pat downs/gropings, Obama can't begin to "understand people’s frustrations" over this issue.

Obama said he’s told the U.S. Transportation Security Administration: You have to constantly refine and measure whether what we’re doing is the only way to assure the American people’s safety.

The One needs to put this much effort into stopping invaders at our southern border.

Liberals around the world are high-fiving themselves over this issue since they want all governments to control every aspect of their lives. In the Netherlands they're about to get what they continually shriek about.
