Oh, some people died apparently. I have heard of two so far. First of all, someone was fishing in a river when a landslide hit him. Secondly, someone ran outside into the street when the earthquake hit and got promptly hit by a car. -_-;;

I saw this book in the bookstore. I have to say it look like more information than recipe. I think it would be good to learn about the culture of Izakaya more than how to cook Izakaya-style food.

My (Japanese) wife said that while her mother wasn't like the above described mother with her or her siblings - she knows/knew plenty of mothers who were exactly as stated above.
