wait, Japanese are known for their savings? Then why are there so many people that go straight to the street after losing their jobs, even if they have been working the job with free room and board for 5,10,20 years? Methinks the "stimulation package" will go to some imported LV…

500 homeless living in buildings. Abandoned farms all around the rural areas of Japan. A call for more domestic produce.
The government sees working-age Japanese as little more than slaves anyway, why not kill two birds with one stone?

I would rather have them in a tent village or gov't building than in the station. Ikebukuro is literally full of bums sleeping when it gets late at night/early morning. I think JR should employ some night guards to deter it.

I personally think the Kouhaku is a fun way to end a year. Some of the performances were REALLY good, and some of them were well, crap (Perfume's obvious lipsyncing, which was reportedly chosen over Hello! Project this year) and Nozomi added a new record to it, all is good.…

Hey, why hate on a 9 year old? It's a theme song for a children's movie (One that is sure to be a timeless classic too, it's a very well done work by Miyazaki Hayao) so of course it's going to be silly and catchy. The girl herself is very…

"a series of imported food contamination scandals"
Ito Ham is imported now? And the tainted rice was imported, but the Japanese company was the one who distributed it knowingly. I actually trust American imports a lot more than "Japanese" foods. Oh, and hamburgers and gyudon are bad, blah blah, but…
