I just have to remember that 24% of Japanese have mental problems everytime I am out there. I am sure we all do to some extend, but it is obvious more when you see people staring at their phones every second or they just spend their whole ride feelig their hair and looking at it, then doing it over again.

There have been many reported cases of people reacting angrily to other people's admonishments in the train. I, as a foreigner, would stay out of any of these litigations because being the country we are in, in the end, the local people fighting each other will apologize to each other and go home free, but your will likely be charged by police if you intervened and somebody gets hurt. Japanese are for themselves basically. I would also move away to another location or just ignore the guy. We can never be winners here, remember that. My last observation is that Korea might lose the title of the "Land of Short Fuses".

Ok, simply, this guy was not only the victim of the two bombings, but also the victim of a inefficient bureaucracy. The theme of this story is, the Japanese way of government has a lot to be desired. End of matter.

All these trees came from China, but so they would have something original, they decided to look at the flowers.

This might be an opportunity for Japan to realize the need for more English speaking attendants, signs, improved bank hours and acceptance of forreign credit cards, and for hotels to cater to foreigners both in price and services.

Do they have net guns? I thought the constitution states that people should not be subjected to cruel punishment.

Here is the problem: Japanese men are too pampered by their mothers to the point they become mama's boys. So, when they marry, they expect the wife to continue as sort of a servant. The problem with Japanese women is that they have bought the story about being subservient to their husbands to the point that is their duty. It kind of has similarities with some extremist religions which I do not want to mention. The other problem is that Japanese are disfuntional when it comes to maintaining friendships. They only know that one friend is all they should have, and if you have other friends, it is like you are cheating them as if you were husband and wife. I am not making this up. I had this experience. I learn a lesson, when it comes to friends, anybody except Japanese. Anyways they have no strong commitment and will side with their Japanese compatriots when it comes to who is in the wrong or right. They are also very indiscrete. Some of them would even say, I am going to tell your wife. Back home, some of these people do not live long if they spill the beans on a friend.
