@BertieWooster
That is a great description Bertie. I totally believe it. There seems to be a revulsion on all levels to psyche problems in Japan from my observation too. There used to be a psyche hospital out by Kintai Bridge. We'd break out the good looking crazy ladys and party with them... Long time ago in the 70's when we (the U.S. military) pretty much had free reign of the place and didn't have to put up with this goody-goody-keep-the-host-happy-restricted-to-base malarky. I remember, there were like very few nurses.... attendants at the place. Years later, after I did the stupid and cross decked many times to stay I dated a nurse/ attendant that worked at the hospital. Gosh, was my reaction. I wondered whey she worked there with all the vitriolic vomit she'd spew about her job. I didn't date her long to say the least.
I have a friend how who is in Japan and having pscyhe/ emotional issues. They just keep her medicated and in a stupor. There is no therepay... just medication and it just keeps her in a cloud. Yet, she won't do anything different, just followd the doctor's ordres blindly like a sheep, or lemming,,... cause he is the doctor.

"Elbuda Mexicano Sure, Japan is not perfect but try living with the Satanic Narco Terrorist drug dealers day in and day out, then you may begin to start to appreciate how really good we got it here in Japan!!"
Exactly! Sounds like somebody wants something. Sadly, Mexico is ruled by greedy people and the populace pays the price. I love Mexico~... Love it! But, I am scared to go there anymore. Driving to En Sanada wihich is not that far I drove through 5 checkpoints that were armed with ;50cal Machine guns. Sad.. I miss the old days.
I wonder what this Presidente is up to. And I wonder if his palm has already been greased for him to say such a thing. Model Society??? Ai Yai Yai! By whose standards???

Very Well Said! "So ridiculous, the whole group defines irony to the n'th degree. A group of young girls and women who are supposed to represent wholesome and pure youth forced to dress in skimpy uniforms and lingerie, who are then chastised for having a normal relationship."
But then, "But to force apologies ." It was a marketing ploy~~

So it is addicting!? Those sneaky B*&%. Just like the tobacco industry. Now, if the Governments really cared about our health, they'd outlaw it all. Of course, there would be the black market, and Social Security would go broke faster do to everyone living longer.

From what I read in JT it seems that there are many attacks on Children in Japan. What causes these cowardly attacks? The children are some of the most defensless people and makes them easy targets. What is up with cowards that do this. Not just here, but through out the world. Again, my mind is boogled. Who put what in the Water!!??

BertieWooster, good question.
Why do people stuff their faces when they know it harming them, just like an alcoholic keeps drinking when he knows it is killing him? Maybe some obese people could weigh in on this topic. I am curious too. I do agree, it is PANDEMIC!! Especially, in the developed countries. And it has increased expotentially in the last decade. I see fat parents with fat kids. So sad.
When I went to boot camp at MCRD San Diego back in the 70s out of a platoon of 75 recruits only one of us couldn't climb the rope in the first week of training. At the end of the second week, he was able to climb the rope. When I went back as a Drill Instructor twelve years later and received my first platoon of 75 recruits a flabbergasting twentyfive of them couldn't climb the rope. Being the curious individual I am, I asked a number of them what they liked to do for fun. All of them replied, "Video Games." That was back in the 80s. I wonder what it is like now.

Obesity is the #1 cause of premature death in America, far above all other causes, including gun related and drunk driving combined. So, I guess one can say more people are killed by a Big Mac than a Mac-10.

working for a Well known Japanese company here in San Diego, California I am surrounded by There are many Japanese, men and women. All the women speak acceptable English, even the ones who are not married to an American. Out of the 100 or so men who work here, I am yet to meet one that can carry a conversation in English. Why is that!!?? It boggles my mind. Yet, I got a Japanese guy friend, who hasn't been to college, works in a Japanese Restaurant and speaks fluent English. Go figure. He still makes mistakes sometimes, but hell, so do I.
I'd like to proffer that the reason Japanese do not speak English so well is that they are afraid of making mistakes, you know, loosing face. And then, on the off hours all these Ex-Pat Japanese guys are playing golf with visiting company personnel from the homeland instead of jumping in to the Local Scene. Also, this company sends employees over here for a year at a time to learn English and experience life in a foreign country. Most of them spend most of their time with other Japanese Ex-pats having Nabe parties or going to Las Vegas in a Japanese only group.

“The UK is very attractive to the Japanese, partly because they see affinities between Japanese and UK culture. The way that UK universities teach is very much geared to building the sort of skills that Japanese students are looking for when they go overseas. These skills—communication, teamwork and problem solving—are transferable to almost all professions”.
It'd be nice if they used "These Skills," instead of hanging on to the status quo, or be afraid of having the nail head pounded down.

Ooops, you are right. It is about Gun Ownership being a privilege in Japan. My Bad. Yes, it is a privilege in Japan. That is why I am glad I don't live there anymore. Although, Ebisen did give a great alternative. My 70lb Mathews Compound Bow with 165gr LandSharks on the end of a X15 Easton Arrow has decimated many a wild boar in Yamaguchi. I wish I could post pictures! And the J-police gave me no trouble at all when I brought it through customs.
@Peter Payne. My Ex-J wife gave me trash about guns too.

Title of article says it all. Privilege not a right. I read that, as Japanese do not have the right to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. Sands, the condition they are in now. Typical Herd animals. Moo~ Or Bah~~~. News Flash! The Meek shall NOT inherit the Earth. (sigh).
"I know how weak and fruitless it must seem beguile the people of grief of a loss so overwhelming and seemingly senseless. But I cannot refrain from tendering to them the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they living in. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of their bereavement, and leave them only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be theirs to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom."
Yes, these are not my words. They still ring true to this day. Gun Ownership is not about, Hunting, Protection from our Neighbour with criminal intent, Shooting Sports, or Collecting. It is about preventing the Government from Being... what being allowed to Become due to the ignorance of the Masses who are not perspicacious enough to see the Slippery-Slope they have unwittingly stepped upon. There noses are buried in their Electronic Device oblivious to the real issues.
It is a Privilege? Ha! I'd love to hear a politician say that in the U.S.. MOOOooo BAAaaahhh~~
