The sovereign state in this case is a despicable dictatorship.

"How many innocent citiznes dead from the US strike?"
Probably a few dead from the combined allied strikes ( the French were the first ). Probably quite a few Gadhafi supporters though.
How many innocent citizens dead from Gadhafi supporters' attacks? Thousands.

When the rebels oust Gadhafi I hope they don't attack their neighbors Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria for not helping them.

What I don't understand is why U.S., British, French and Italian forces are necessary. What about the Algerians, Tunisians and Egyptians? Can't they take out Gadhafi's forces?

Carcharodon - Well, that makes sense. Where they stand on the right side on the escalators must be where the kerosene jugs are blue.

One thing is for sure. Recipients of Japan's foreign aid will take a big hit. The Japanese government was broke even before this disaster.

I'm staying unless beer becomes impossible to get.
Junnama - I've been assured that even if the plant explodes/has a complete meltdown, radiation levels in Tokyo will not be harmful to human health. But if that's wrong, if you wait til then, it'll be too late.

otumfuo: "They did not exhaust all possible alternatives before launching this war"
Oh, for cryin' out loud, They only waited until thousands of Libyans has already been killed by Gadhafi's forces, and with Gadhafi launching all-out attacks on the rebels ( and any civilians who dared to venture out on the streets ) and threatening "No mercy".
Badsey: "the US has enough oil reserves for 200+years"
I doubt that.

Another miracle!
"They had been eating yogurt"
I eat that stuff every day! Until today, anyway, when I finished the last of what I had. I usually buy 500 gram containers of plain yogurt for mere 105 yen on Sundays at Hanamasa, but those have been unavailable since 3/11. I'll check again tomorrow...

I actually found batteries at the 100yen shop. Not alkaline, "mangan", but hey, they'll work in my flashlight which I hope doesn't break because I don't have a spare and there are no flashlights to be had anywhere. There was some bread, but I didn't buy any. No milk or eggs, no wait, one supermarket had milk at 348 yen/liter, I didn't buy it.
Again, this is just a minor inconvenience compared to what the people in Tohoko are going through.

Gadhafi is toast. So is his son.
Obama is correct in ordering U.S. military attacks on Gadhafi's air defenses. Of course he never would have without a U.N. Security Council resolution and promises by other countries to join in.
