No it isn't. I'm not surprised, however, that there is no health risk to the west coast of the U.S., thousands of kilometers away. Tokyo, on the other hand, is a mere 280km away. The U.S. government has urged people within 80km to evacuate, and this is before any meltdown...

I've been assured b several people that even in a worst case scenario, with the plant melting down completely/exploding, and winds blowing the radiation toward Tokyo, the radiation that would reach Tokyo would not be harmful to human health. Have I been misinformed on this?
