shinkansenjp - I have donated over 2% of my projected meager 2011 income, which may end up being a lot more than 2%!
How about if everyone who makes over half a million dollars/40 million yen a year donate 10% of their income?

"$1 million or 79 million yen"
If it weren't for the speculators it would have been several more million yen just a couple of days ago. And if this was 1985 it would have been around 240 million yen, lol.
Good on Eastwood and all these rich people. My aim in life is to become a rich person so I can give away a million dollars and still live a life of luxury, lol.

"wind is irrelevant"
No it isn't. I'm not surprised, however, that there is no health risk to the west coast of the U.S., thousands of kilometers away. Tokyo, on the other hand, is a mere 280km away. The U.S. government has urged people within 80km to evacuate, and this is before any meltdown...

I've been assured b several people that even in a worst case scenario, with the plant melting down completely/exploding, and winds blowing the radiation toward Tokyo, the radiation that would reach Tokyo would not be harmful to human health. Have I been misinformed on this?

But who will enforce the no-fly zone?
I think no matter what, Gadhafi's forces may kill a lot of people, but he will never crush the rebellion.

I think Cyndi understands the situation more than most entertainers because she used to be poor.
In a Rolling Stone interview she said when she first started in show biz, she dressed like she did because of poverty.
Nessie, I guarantee Cyndi's concerts will not be a disaster.

"Anyone knows a reason causing foreigners to stay away from Japan?"
Ask the U.S. State Department. They said something to the effect that now's not a good time to go to Japan.

This is good, but it would be even better if the U.S. allows the Mexican police to come up to the U.S. and help catch the drug dealers and drug addicts buying and using the junk.

"several tank shells had struck inside the city, hitting a mosque"
Doesn't Gadhafi know that's gonna enrage all the Muslims and create more terrorists? He's toast!
