smith, JIJISAN, Mochiake - The Yankees said Igawa's family is OK.
"In the final season of a $20 million 5-year contract"
If Igawa gives the same percent of his income as I just did to the relief effort, he'll give $16,000.
But he should give more, maybe around a million dollars?

I recommend the Egyptian, Tunisian and Algerian air forces to coordinate and help put Gadhafi's forces down.

TEPCO had better get that nuclear plant back back up and running - Japan relies on nuclear power for 28% of its electricity.

I wonder what percent of Libyans truly support Gadhafi at this point - maybe half of 1 percent?

"One U.S. aircraft carrier is already in Japan, and a second is on its way to assist with the recovery efforts... Pentagon spokesman Col. David Lapan said U.S. and Japanese officials are talking constantly to determine exactly what type of assistance is needed. He said aid could include food, water, shelter and medical supplies."
I'm sure the U.S. military will be of great help to the victims of this disaster.

Rapunzel is a Brothers Grimm story. When I was a kid I listened to a record of a bunch of Grimm Brothers stories including Rapunzel, and it was pretty grim, especially the part when Rapunzel foolishly let the witch know about the prince who came to see her at night, and the witch cut off her hair and sent her off into the forest to fend for herself, but kept her hair, and then when the prince showed up saying, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!" she let it down and he climbed up and then, to his horror, saw the witch, who told him he'd never see Rapunzel again, and then, in despair, he jumped from the tower and blinded himself on the briar below, lol...

"A healthy economy affords almost everyone a livelihood"
Seems to me the Japanese economy was pretty healthy when the exchange rate was around 240 yen to the dollar and there was no consumption tax.

"I once had a taxi driver stop literally one corner away from my home ( a corner I didn't recognize )"
Har! Seems Mr. Robson doesn't know his neighborhood very well.
I rarely take taxis, but I've had only one bad thing happen - the driver used my rope to keep the trunk lid tied down, and then failed to return it to me. ( I forgot about it, as I was busy with dealing with other people riding with me )

I agree with asianTourist, a movie with real actors would be great! Shokotan's hair is certainly long enough for her to play the role of Rapunzel! Now, lessee, who could we get to play Prince Charming and the evil old woman who keeps Rapunzel trapped in the tower and vexes Prince Charming... got it! Johnny Depp and Glenn Close! Perfect! Ha ha!
