earth tends to run a on a 21-30 year cycle of warm/ dry and cool/wet in it's hemispheres. Northern is swinging back into the cool a little on the late side but we are getting there. Solar output is also lower which may have something to do with it

China is not seen as an ally to the U.S. in spite of business contacts. And people have been noticing the increasingly bellicose tone coming out of China over the last five years, and are not inclined to think in it favor. Americans (except policy wonks and Party hacks) by in large regard Japan as an ally as we have had amicable relations since the end of WWII. China....Not so much

the people raging on against former president Bush remind me of the people who Raged against Nixon and continue to rage against Nixon. They found a target to demonize and pour all their paranoia and vitrol into.
And for the Record, All the political controls Nixon wanted, President Obama has. But you would never hear them mention that.
Get a Life, people. The man is out of office and does not influence public policy anymore. Sheesh

South Korea needs to get over itself. it's been 68 years since wars end. As Long as the Japanese don't do the same thing again, then they can put a sock in it.
But then I'm thinking that it's a giant distraction from Kim Jung Loon to the North and his nonsense

Korea and China complaining about Japan is Old Hat at this point. I can sort of understand Korea being a bit Neurotic about Japan, but it has been nearly 70 years of peace, guys. Get with the program.
China has never gotten over that it got run over by external powers and does not have the diplomatic tools to deal with them if the CCP are any sign. it's pop culture definitely shows signs of this. Which I find a pity

sigh Okay, people. Just breathe and consider for a moment.
Citizens of the U.S.A. have a very long history of weapon ownership, in spite of the various shootings of one form or another, and seem to accept the violence as par for the course and part of the responsability of ownership. The majority of legal gun owners do not giggle at various school shootings and other massacres, but condemn them, indicating that they hold the person responsible, and not the weapon being used.
American distrust of over-reaching government has always been a defining feature of the American psyche and is not going away anytime soon. Given the level of nonsense going on in Washington which is now defined as Passing questionable Legislation on Friday evenings or the middle of the night, or using procedural tricks to prevent open viewing and debate of said legislation, a good majority of people are now aware that federal level of U.S government has become unweildly and myopic to anything outside of Washington D.C. or the average newscast. Given the general ham handedness with which legislation is implemented, trust between people and government is at a all time low. Thus people are arming themselves as they no longer trust the Federal Government to do the right thing.
over all, The gun control idea appears to have been little more than a tactic to drum up the base for the 2014 elections. As the President was denied a victory in that regard, he does not appear to be taking it very well...

Perhaps if China had not been acting so bellicose to it's next-door neighbors, there wouldn't be a problem. But given that it's behavior is less than friendly, China should expect this. It's attempts at acting the wounded party fall falt

not to put too fine a point on it, but the societies need to make a point early on of getting married and having kids if you want to cushion this problem. Traditional values worked for a reason.
