I thought that pensions were unfunded here, i.e. there isn't a Y150 trillion pot of cash sitting around waiting to be spent. The government has already spent/wasted it.
A better idea would be for the government to rebate part of the pension payments and let individuals decide how to invest…

Lately, HIS newspaper ads include the fuel surcharge. However, I often found, from various agents, that the deals advertised on their web-sites are not available. Why can't they keep their web-sites up to date?

The parents of those children must be pretty old, since the last of them would have been forced to move to Japan 53…

I didn't think Japanese needed visas to visit China, so tighter visa regulations can't account for the 45% drop in Japanese visitors.
However, average room rates of hundreds of dollars per night and relatively expensive air fares may have something to do with it. Why pay a fortune to visit…

Hatoyama is a bloodthirsty swine, just like his mate Abe, who clearly enjoys playing God. If they had the death penalty for embezzling public finds he wouldn't be in such a rush to sign the death warrants, as most of the LDP would be strung up.

Yet another strange ruling from the Japanese judicial system.
If the man was born in 1981 and his grandmother and father only acquired Japanese nationality after 2003, on what basis did the judge rule that "the probability is high that he possessed Japanese nationality already at the time of his…
