No, Obama wasn't saying anything about McCain himself making any statement about race. He was, however, making an allusion about McCain supporters making allusions about race. Allusions, by their nature, are not direct.
How does this amount to "playing the race card"? The claim that it does sounds more…
I think he'd do better with choosing Chuck Hagel. Choosing Lieberman only compounds the minority issues he already has to deal with although Lieberman might do better in a debate than the likely Republican choices.
"the West" would be the same "the West" as mentioned in the article and the economic reasons would be the same as mentioned in my post. I'm assuming that you know which nations are leading the charge on allegations of Iranian nuclear weapons development and that you are aware…
I think your point about party line voting is accurate, but I think you play fast and loose with your summary. You wish to characterize McCain's percentage of party-line vote as 95% but Obama's as almost 100%. I doubt that there is any statistical difference between 95 and 96.…
I think that what you are describing there is not a problem of the developing nations but one of US corporations who use developing nations to maximize their profits.
Obama voted "with Bush" 49% of the time in 2006 and 40% of the time in 2007. As far as Democrats are concerned, he's about in the middle. McCain voted "with Bush" 95% of the time last year and since 2001 has averaged 89%.
I think McCain will stop attacking so much. I suspect these ads were primarily designed to give him a boost in the polls and achieve some sort of parity going into the conventions. That, I think, would be a good goal for him.

I don't think any savvy politician would want to offend his own $5,000 donors and embolden the other guy's $50 ones.

SuperLib,
What about the Obama campaign's contention that the McCain campaign rejected the proposal of two town hall meetings?
