Oh great. Most of us expats live in Meguro, Shinagawa or Minato ku. So that means a 30 minute Yamanote Line trip to Ueno and If it is replacing the Keisei Skyliner, then it takes 15 minutes and lots of stairs to get to the platform. The Narita Express or the 35000 JPY helicopter from Ark Hills makes better sense.

Saitama twinned with the Gaza Strip. I have never seen so many police helicopters than in the skies above Saitama.

Same thugs are now in Meguro. Right next to the Gajoen and right next to where I live. It was quite amusing watching the scuffles yesterday, but I fear the road will be turned into a barricade like roads around the Russian Embassy.

Notginger. Carcass dressed as mutton would be another way. Besides, the car might be nice to own even in Tokyo, but parking it in Minato ku costs 60,000 JPY a month.

I guess his parents let him go to school and come back on his own, not counting his freind. I take collect my 8 year old everyday. As far as I can see, I am the only parent that does this.

Can you imagine if all the banks in the world adopt the Japanese system? You will have to wait for hours with a piece of paper in your hand to see a Teller. Then sit down again while it gets processed. Not to mention the long wait at ATMs while old ladies with 50 bank books in their hand shuffle their money around. There would be riots.
