Maybe he's just the ultimate procrastinator, "Oh, I'll make a call when I get back home ...," or do the Japan pachinko parlors have "drawings," like our casinos do? At 9 p.m. on certain days they draw a name out of a barrel for a free car. You gotta be there or you lose out!

But if he's pardoned, then everyone will start throwing shoes ... wait - we're in a deep recession. We can't afford to lose even one shoe. Okay, pardon away. Now, is there any way we can get him on the U.S. talk show circuit?

Then why is it that Japanese cars can stay on the road forever and "American" cars cannot?

I drive a GM-made car now and am nervous about it. I've always driven Toyotas and they've lasted and lasted but I bought a GM car because I needed something bigger and it was a steal. Everyone in the U.S. knows Japan makes a better car - everyone except rednecks, that is, which South Carolina is famous for. Everyone knows with american-made cars you'll have a dead car that you're still making car payments on. This is one of the reasons the big 3 need a bailout. Bring on the rice. We'll be leaving everyone else by the side of the road.

Don't mistake someone, such as Reverend Al, as caring when in fact what he wants is a little TV time for himself.

Since when did we start caring what the AQ thinks/says? Never. Moving along ....

"Celebrity"? She talks about work, but does she actually do something or are people afraid to call her an actress? In the U.S. celebrity means Paris Hilton, a person who does nothing.

We've had meet-the-candidate gatherings in my community, too, and it's as Ayers said - you don't know the candidates personally. You find a list of everyone running for office, with their home phone numbers, and start calling and inviting. The evening is so chaotic with swarms of people that, when it's you putting on the event, you might only talk with the candidate(s) if they seek you out to shake your hand and say thanks. Michelle Obama also cleared up this issue by saying that you can't be involved in education in Chicago without knowing William Ayers. Nuff said.

The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. Maybe it will some day. Maybe not. If guns are banned in the U.S., people will just find something else to kill each other with. It's not the gun's problem. People who are in prison for shooting another person or who are una-bomber crazy should not legally be allowed to own guns. You and I know they'll find a way to get their hands on a gun anyway. It's not the guns. It's our culture that's dangerous.

Being working poor means you have to be craftier than most people. I actually live well on less money. It's like a chess game. Align yourself to snatch up a better job, easy second job or better place to live (for less money) when the opportunity presents itself.

McCain's bad temper is showing. Meanwhile, this is a good example of a republican - public support (we're buying her clothes, etc., for her) and privatized profits (if she gets the job, she won't be sharing any of her higher income with us).

This is why I like reading the news from countries outside where I live. I firmly believe that we're all pretty much the same. We've had this same scandal where I live in the wild west of the U.S. Cops here have been busted for this behavior twice. And, yes, by 17 a girl knows what's what, unless she's mentally slow. And sometimes girls love a man in a uniform, what can we say!

We need to get out of the middle east - NOW. We're broke. Flat-busted. McSame and Failin' are war mongers. If they get into office, I'm afraid more war will be what's for supper.

Besides rampant racism in the U.S., there's also a war in the U.S. on the intelligentsia is why some people don't like Obama. A lot of people won't vote for him because he's Black. If McCain becomes president he'll be caught in all his own lies. He's not going to do all the things he says he's going to do. It's just B.S. for the show. Obama is young. If he isn't elected president this year, he will be once McCain is ousted from office. If my pipes were broken, I'd call someone who has a plumbing license.

I have an idea, farmboy: "I've never ridden an elevator before, how do I ..." Followed by a scream as the noob is taken under. ThonTaddeo has it right, "Folks, if you ened to be instructed on how to stand on a walkway without even moving, maybe the adult world is too much for you." Seriously, just say hi to them, wish them a nice day and be thankful you have a regular job.

No license? I'm not letting someone without a license clunk around in my throne room. (Would rather not fall through the floor Sunday morning while reading the papers.)

Under McCain, the top 1% that's fleecing the country right now will continue to fleece the country. The road to hell is paved with republicans, my friends.

I'm thinking the girl didn't say anything because she was afraid. Watch her keep going out with this guy & corresponding with him while he's in prison, "... I'll wait for you ... I love you." Hon, get a restraining order because - you're next. Don't think, "Oh, he'll never hit me ..." And for god's sake, don't have children with this low-brow!! Run!
