Carla Bruni was wise not to come. A few others seem to be missing, too. How about German Chancellor Merkel's husband? What is he supposed to do?

jpdrag0n The parents were negligent, no question about it. I've said this a million and one times. Here goes again. Parental supervision of young children in this country is appalling. And I couldn't care less about whether such accidents happen in other countries, or how many readers were left unsupervised…

Must be a wonderful occasion and a treasured memory for those children who are too young to understand politics.

A fun question. I'll play. If biblical events could be pinpointed, I'd go back to see the crucifixion of Christ and then hang around to see if he really rose from the dead.

Then swinging back, I'd like to stand on the deck of the Titanic in its last hour.…

I don't know but I am sick of hearing about it. My gut feeling is that Megumi Yokota and the others died a long time ago. Unfortunately, their families can't accept that without conclusive proof, so the issue goes around and around. I feel sorry for Yokota's parents being trotted…

I was at H.I.S. last week booking my ticket to Australia and beside me there was one very unhappy foreigner who was really blasting the poor girl. I feel sorry for the frontline staff, but as the article points out, they are asking for customers' wrath by not including the…

Bogi I don't know about Kansai but in Tokyo, they always open and close these places by the calendar. For example, every beer garden and swimming pool in Tokyo will close on Sept 15, even though it is still hot.
